In 2015,China's textile and apparel industry's export trade volume declined for the first time in nearly 10 years.The downward trend has continued to this day.Correspondingly,China's cross-border e-commerce exports have increased rapidly.The scale of cross-border e-commerce transactions in China in 2016 The year-on-year increase of 24%.Textile cross-border e-commerce is an important part of cross-border e-commerce.With its information technology and low transaction costs,the e-commerce platform has brought new opportunities for foreign trade in China's textile and clothing industry.For example,a cross-border e-commerce exporter engaged in wedding dresses,Suzhou PayPal,was established in 2012.In just four years,sales revenue in 2016 has grown to 150 million yuan.The development of cross-border e-commerce has promoted relevant theoretical research,including international trade theory,internet economic theory,and platform marketing.This article has integrated related theories and used gravitational models and case studies to analyze the factors affecting the cross-border e-commerce exports of China's textile and apparel industry.Theoretical analysis and empirical analysis have made it important theoretical and practical significance for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries in China in response to trade frictions,appreciation of the renminbi,rising raw material prices,and rising labor costs.The article first sorts out related theories and research literature on cross-border e-commerce and textile and garment industry export,analyzes the current research status and achievements,finds the research methods of this article,and summarizes the cross-border e-commerce export of China's textile and apparel industry.The influencing factors;and then summarized the current status of China's textile and garment industry,the status of cross-border e-commerce exports,and the status of China's cross-border e-commerce exports in the textile and garment industry.Then based on the summary of the second and third chapters of the literature and the analysis of the status quo,the paper selects the factors affecting the cross-border e-commerce export in China's textile and apparel industry,proposes corresponding assumptions,and applies the trade gravitation model for empirical analysis and verification.At the same time,Suzhou PayPal E-Commerce Co.,Ltd.is the case study object,in-depth analysis of its as a professional enterprise engaged in cross-border e-commerce export of wedding dress products,affecting its total export factors.Finally draw a conclusion and give advice.The article concludes that the factors that can promote the cross-border e-commerce exports of China's textile and garment companies include: incentives for government export tax rebates and other policies,rapid operational efficiency of customs and logistics,mature online payment systems,and R&D innovation capabilities and branding of enterprises.Factors that hinder the export of cross-border e-commerce among textile and garment companies in China,such as development and talent competitiveness,include:.Labour costs,technical barriers to trade,cultural differences between the two countries,etc.In addition,through gravitational models and case studies,it was found that the impact of geographical distance on cross-border trade between countries is greatly reduced.Based on the conclusions reached,the article concludes with Two suggestions: First,encourage the government to accurately support the development of textile and apparel cross-border e-commerce exports in remote areas;second,companies should develop new markets or go deep into each country to understand the local customary preferences to compensate for the cultural differences between the two sides.
