Research On Digital Economy Driving The Economic Growth Of The Three Northeastern Provinces

Based on the resource endowment structure in the region,the three northeastern provinces have gradually formed a situation in which labor-intensive heavy industry is the mainstay,and the light industry and its supporting marketing network are seriously lacking after years of development.At present,the development momentum of the old industries in the three northeastern provinces is weak,and the new industrial development momentum cannot play a leading role,and it is urgent for the region to transform to digital development.Relying on good agricultural materials and industries,the three northeastern provinces have transformed their original products into smart products that are closer to consumers’ needs and achieved leapfrog development by taking advantage of the digital economy’s latecomer advantages.The three northeastern provinces have actively promoted the digital economy development strategy,accelerated the transformation of development methods,and provided a new momentum for regional economic development.Based on the research of existing scholars,this paper compares the definition and differences of digital economy in some countries,analyzes the development status of the economy and the digital economy in the three northeastern provinces,studies the mechanism of the digital economy on the three northeast economic growth path,uses the entropy method to construct digital economy development level evaluation index,and uses the fixed effect model to verify that the digital economy has a positive role in promoting the economic growth of the three northeast provinces.In this way,countermeasures and suggestions for the digital economy to boost the economic growth of the three northeastern provinces are put forward.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:1.The role of the digital economy on the economic growth of the three northeastern provinces is studied.The digital economy is conducive to promoting the diffusion of technological innovation and the integrated development of industries in the three northeastern provinces,forming economies of scale and scope,and accelerating the long-term and stable development of the regional economy.2.Analysis the regional economic development and the status quo of the digital economy in the three northeastern provinces.The research results show that:(1)The economy of the three northeastern provinces continued to recover steadily.On the whole,however,the problem of the population crisis is prominent;the economy remains stable but the development is slow;the effective investment is insufficient;the consumption drive is not enough and the trade deficit situation needs to be improved.(2)They have achieved fruitful results in continuous optimization and upgrading of digital infrastructure,rapid development of high-tech enterprises,rapid development of intelligent industrial parks and digital technology counterpart cooperation.However,there are still some key problems in the development of the digital economy in the three northeastern provinces.The level of the digital economy development is low;the innovation capability of the digital economy is weak;the digital transformation process of traditional industries is slow;traditional institutional obstacles restrict the development of the digital economy.3.A fixed-effect panel data model is established to explore the driving effect of the digital economy on the economic growth of the three northeastern provinces.Use the entropy weight method to construct a measure of the development level of the digital economy,use the panel data of 35 cities in the three northeastern provinces from 2014 to2020 to analyze the impact of the digital economy on the economic growth of the three northeastern provinces,and introduce controls variable such as investment intensity,government intervention and industrial structure.The research results show that the digital economy has a positive effect on the economic growth of the three northeastern provinces.4.Put forward countermeasures and suggestions for the development of the digital economy in the three northeastern provinces:(1)vigorously develop the digital economy;(2)promote the innovative application of the digital economy;(3)accelerate the efficient and deep integration of the digital economy and traditional industries;(4)strengthen the top-level design and innovation of the digital economy.
