Research On The Upgrading Of China's Embedded Value Chain Model In Europ

Since the reform and opening up,China has actively participated in the division of global value chains based on its resource advantages.But early Chinese tend to work in the low-end industries related to the labor and resource intensive,core technologies related to product development,product marketing and after-sales service high value-added links are control in the hands of mainly developed countries of the multinational vendors,partly in China’s industry is in a state of "low-end capture" for a long time.As an important part of the China-Eu comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership,china-eu trade exceeded 800 billion US dollars in 2021.China’s position as the EU’s largest trading partner remains stable,and china-eu trade enjoys broad prospects.From obtaining technology spillover effect from undertaking foreign industry transfer to independent research and development and accelerating independent innovation,it has become an important means for China to shape new competitive advantages and realize the upgrading of value chain embedding mode.Therefore,the optimization and upgrading of China’s embedment in the European value chain is not only of great significance to enhancing China’s international economic strength and enhancing its international status,but also of great value to reducing the trade dependence of China and Europe on the US and improving their economic autonomy.In recent years,China’s scientific and technological strength has been continuously enhanced,and its material and human capital has been greatly accumulated.Has China’s integration into the European value chain been upgraded? What are the related factors that affect the upgrade of its embedded mode? This paper will take China’s European value chain model as the research object,and explain its status,influencing factors and relevant policy suggestions of the upgrading of China’s European value chain model.This paper first defines the upgrading concept of China’s embedment of European value chain model,and measures the direction index and depth index of China’s embedment of European value chain.Secondly,the index system of influencing factors was constructed,and the PCSE estimation method was used for regression test.Finally,the empirical analysis method of grey correlation degree is used to investigate the changing trend of the influence degree of each factor.Based on the above analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions :(1)all Chinese industries are undergoing the upgrading and transformation of the European value chain embedment model from back to forward and from shallow to deep;(2)From the perspective of embedment direction,the impact of industry technology level,intermediate goods input level,trade openness and financial crisis has a good promotion effect on the improvement of China’s embedment direction index of European value chain;From the perspective of embeddedness depth,the level of industry technology and industry scale have a good promotion effect on the improvement of China’s embeddedness depth index of European value chain.(3)using the methods of grey correlation analysis method: based on the embedded direction Angle of view,all elements of the correlation value is more than 0.75,and the labor remuneration,industry technical level,intermediate inputs are deepening,the influence of the factors of capital intensity,the influence degree of the scale level,trade of industry declined;From the perspective of embedding depth,the correlation degree of all factors is over 0.8.Although the correlation degree is high,the influence degree shows a downward trend during the study period.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper gives the following policy recommendations :(1)deepen regional value chain cooperation to promote the sound development of global value chain;(2)Promote the market-oriented reform of resource factors to realize the optimal allocation of resource factors;(3)Improve the independent innovation capability of enterprises and form a pillar innovation industry led by China;(4)Promote the effective extension of the domestic value chain and adjust the mode of trade with Europe.
