| The cross-border e-commerce industry,as a key industry promoting the development of China’s foreign trade,is currently rapidly developing and making an increasing contribution to China’s economic development.However,with the increasing investment in the cross-border e-commerce industry in the capital market and the turbulent development of international trade,market competition has become increasingly fierce.The competition between cross-border e-commerce enterprises has covered all aspects,especially in terms of finance.Financial competitiveness,as a comprehensive manifestation of financial capability,can help enterprises operate stably and achieve sustainable development.Based on this background,this article aims to study the financial competitiveness of cross-border e-commerce listed companies,obtain the financial competitiveness level of China’s cross-border e-commerce industry,help enterprises clarify their advantages and disadvantages,and also provide reference for cross-border e-commerce enterprises to improve their comprehensive strength.The paper first sorts out and explores relevant concepts and theoretical foundations,introduces the current development status of China’s cross-border e-commerce industry,introduces various business models of the cross-border e-commerce industry,classifies cross-border e-commerce A-share listed companies based on business models,and explores the impact of business models on the financial aspects of cross-border ecommerce enterprises.Then,combining the traditional evaluation index system with the characteristics of the cross-border e-commerce industry,a total of 14 financial indicators were selected from five dimensions: debt paying ability,profitability,operational ability,cash acquisition ability,and growth ability,to construct a financial competitiveness evaluation system for the cross-border e-commerce industry.On this basis,factor analysis method is used to evaluate the financial competitiveness of China’s cross-border e-commerce industry,and combined with the classification of business models,comparative analysis is conducted on the financial competitiveness of various business models.The research results found that cross-border e-commerce enterprises with a service provider model have the strongest financial competitiveness,slightly higher than those with a platform model,while self operated cross-border e-commerce enterprises have the lowest average score in financial competitiveness.In terms of main factor scores,cross-border e-commerce enterprises in the service provider model perform better in terms of profitability and debt repayment ability,but weaker in terms of cash acquisition ability;Platform based cross-border e-commerce enterprises perform well in terms of operational and growth capabilities;However,self operated cross-border e-commerce enterprises only perform strongly in terms of cash acquisition ability,and perform poorly in other aspects.Finally,several countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to enhance the financial competitiveness of the cross-border e-commerce industry. |
