Research On The Construction Of Characteristic Towns In Wuling Mountain Area Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization Strategy

The proposal of the rural revitalization strategy provides a strong basis for us to solve the "three rural" problems,promote the harmonious development of urban and rural areas,and for the construction of new rural areas and the promotion of agricultural modernization.Since 2016,our goverment has vigorously promoted the construction of a number of characteristic towns in terms of relevant policies,which is not only conducive to promoting the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,but also conducive to the development of the rural economy and improving the ideological awareness of farmers.To seize the development opportunity of rural revitalization in a new round and grasp the pathway of the construction of characteristic towns in ethnic minority areas,we choose Bi’er Town,which is adjacent to Liye Town including in the list of the second batch of national characteristic towns,as the research subject,further consider and enrich the experience in the construction of characteristic towns in ethnic minority areas.By adopting literature research,fieldwork investigations,visiting and interviews,and other research methods,and referring to the construction experience of characteristic towns in other regions,our research is carried out from the aspects of local industries,folk crafts,the traditional culture,infrastructure constructions.As a result,some countermeasures and recommendations are put forward in the thesis from the construction direction and specific practices.First of all,the local industries need to promote strengths and avoid weaknesses to improve their staying power and develop the added values of the industries in the meanwhile.Secondly,folk craftsmanship must be protected and highlighted the inheritance by incorporating modern elements.Thirdly,we have to collect and rescue the traditional culture timely since it is the essence of wisdom accumulated from history.Finally,the construction of an ancient street,two quays,and three squares should not only have an antique traditional atmosphere but also maintain the Tujia characteristics.In conclusion,we should try our best to construct characteristic towns from the aspects of infrastructure constructions,local industries,folk crafts,and the traditional culture,providing a scientific and sustainable development model for the construction of characteristic towns in ethnic minority areas,and offering a necessary reference and experience for rural revitalization.
