| While promoting the social and economic development of our country,construction projects have also brought many problems such as resource waste,environmental pollution and safety accident in their extensive development mode.As macro-policies,the public and stakeholders pay more attention to the impact of environment and society,how to achieve sustainability performance of coordinated development of economy,environment and society has become a key practical problem to be solved urgently in construction projects.In the era of digital economy,with the continuous promotion of national policies,the practice of engineering projects begins to improve the sustainability performance of projects by constructing digital capabilities purposefully.However,in the theoretical research,the exploration about the construction of digital capability of engineering projects and its impact on sustainable performance is relatively limited.In this context,based on the dynamic capability theory,this paper focuses on the two core issues of "What is the structural dimension of the digitization capability of construction projects" and "What is the impact of the digitization capability of engineering projects on its sustainability performance",and comprehensively uses two research methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,to explore the dimension composition of digital capability in project context and its value to sustainable performance improvement.First of all,in the qualitative analysis part,based on the grounded theory analysis method,Nvivo software is used to encode and analyze the data of 10 construction project cases,and construct the structural dimension of construction projects digitization capability.Then,on the basis of the dimension study,the relationship between various dimensions of digital capability and its impact on sustainability performance was explored.The situational variable of environmental dynamics was introduced to explore its regulating role in the relationship between digital capability and sustainability performance,thus constructing the hypothesis model of this study.In the quantitative analysis part,this study carried out variable measurement,questionnaire design and data collection successively.Based on 266 valid questionnaires collected,PLS-SEM and Bootstrap test methods were used to analyze the data,verify the research hypothesis proposed in this paper,and discuss and analyze the empirical results.Based on the above research and demonstration work,this paper draws the following research conclusions:the digital capability of engineering projects includes three dimensions:digital perception capability,digital integration capability and digital reconstruction capability,and the three concepts are not independent of each other,but have hierarchical progressive relationship:Digital perception ability will positively promote digital integration and reconstruction ability,and digital integration ability will also positively promote digital reconstruction ability.Three kinds of digital capabilities of engineering projects all have positive effects on project sustainability performance,among which digital integration and reconstruction capability play a mediating role in the relationship between digital perception capability and sustainability performance,and digital reconstruction capability plays a mediating role in the relationship between digital integration capability and sustainability performance.In addition,environmental dynamics positively moderates the relationship between digital perception ability and sustainable performance,but has no signficant moderating effect on the relationship between digital integration and reconstruction ability and sustainable performance.The conclusion of this paper firstly enriches the theoretical research on the structural dimension of digitization capability of engineering projects,explores the internal logical relationship of digitization capability,and deepens the understanding of the complex construct of digitization capability.Secondly,it reveals the value and significance of constructing digital capability from the perspective of sustainability,which provides effective strategic guidance for engineering projects to improve sustainable performance.Finally,the moderating effect of environmental dynamics is found,and specific suggestions are put forward for the construction of digital capabilities to improve sustainable performance under different degrees of dynamic environment. |
