In the report of the Party’s 20th National Congress,it is necessary to comprehensively promote rural revitalization,adhere to the priority development of agriculture and rural areas,and consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation.Industrial prosperity is the prerequisite to solve all problems in rural areas,and industry is the core of rural revitalization.Only by industrial revitalization can we better build beautiful countryside and ultimately achieve the goal of common prosperity.Gastrodia industry is one of the "2+N" characteristic and advantageous industries that effectively link the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in Dejiang County.It has made great contributions to driving the local agricultural economy and increasing farmers’ income.In 2022,the cumulative planting area of Gastrodia in Dejiang County is 730,000 square meters,the output is 2,000 tons,and the comprehensive output value is 360 million yuan.While the industry is developing well,some problems also arise,such as the weak cultivation technology ability of hemp farmers,the short industrial chain,and the weak construction of gastrodia brand.This paper analyzes the development status and existing problems of gastrodia industry in Dejiang County,Guizhou Province through literature analysis,questionnaire survey,field interview and AHP,and puts forward development countermeasures based on local characteristics and relevant policies to promote the development of gastrodia industry in Dejiang County,Guizhou Province.The results of the questionnaire survey of gastrodia elata growers in Dejiang County showed that the education level of gastrodia elata growers was generally low,and the hemp farmers were aging.The main problems commonly faced are the low technical level,the trouble of pests and diseases,the limited source of germinating fungi and the influence of weather.76.5%of hemp farmers thought that there were difficulties in selling gastrodia elata.86%of the hemp farmers joined the specialized cooperative of gastrodia elata,indicating that rural cooperatives can help hemp farmers safeguard their rights and interests and improve their production technology.The AHP was used to evaluate the development status of gastrodia elata industry in Dejiang County of Guizhou Province,and it was found that the industry in Dejiang had great room for improvement in the aspects of gastrodia elata organization construction,gastrodia elata culture,labor resources and leading enterprises.Based on the above analysis,the main problems existing in the development of gastrodia industry in Dejiang are as follows:susceptible to pests and diseases and abnormal weather in the planting process;The cultivation ability of planting farmers is weak and professional and technical personnel are lacking.Scale management degree is not high,brand building is insufficient;Traditional sales channels,inadequate use of Internet platform,complex marketing environment,fierce market competition and so on.In order to promote the sustainable development of gastrodia elata industry in Dejiang County,on the basis of the above studies,a series of development measures were put forward,including:The first is to strengthen the comprehensive prevention and control of natural disasters and the construction of agricultural insurance system,and the second is to build gastrodia standardization demonstration bases to improve the level of gastrodia industrialization;Third,cultivate new types of farmers and improve the level of planting technology;Fourth,strengthen Gastrodia brand building and brand protection;Sixth,we should formulate standardized production standards and increase the popularization of agricultural technology.
