Traffic construction and urbanization development are two coupled and interactive systems.Regional traffic construction plays an important supporting and leading role in urbanization development,and urbanization development can promote the construction and improvement of regional traffic infrastructure.There is a close coupling relationship between them.This study takes Ganzhou City,the sub central city of Jiangxi Province and the transportation hub city of the thoroughfares of Jiangxi,Guangdong,Fujian and Hunan provinces,as the research case to study the coupling and coordination relationship between traffic advantage and urbanization level.Firstly,the evaluation model of district and county-level traffic advantage is constructed from the three dimensions of traffic network density,traffic trunk line influence and location advantage.Four aspects of population urbanization,economic urbanization,social urbanization and spatial urbanization are selected as the subsystem layer of the urbanization level evaluation system,and the district and county-level urbanization level evaluation system is constructed,Then it analyzes the spatial pattern and differentiation characteristics of traffic dominance and urbanization level of all districts and counties in Ganzhou City;Using the coupling coordination evaluation model,this paper analyzes the coupling coordination types and characteristics of traffic dominance and urbanization level in various districts and counties of Ganzhou City,then puts forward the planning and research framework of spatial coupling between traffic dominance and urbanization level,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the coordinated development of traffic dominance and urbanization level in Ganzhou City.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)the traffic dominance of all districts and counties in Ganzhou City shows a basic trend of decreasing from the core area of the metropolitan area to the outer irregular circle,especially in the southwest direction from the central urban area to Dayu County,Chongyi county and other towns.Except Longnan City and Ruijin City,the areas with high traffic advantage are distributed within the metropolitan area of Ganzhou City.(2)The urbanization level of all districts and counties in Ganzhou City is generally low and there is little difference.The urban system in Ganzhou City shows the characteristics of flattening.Zhanggong District,Nankang district and Longnan City have a high level of urbanization,which is at the forefront of the city.(3)In the development framework of urban transportation system,the urban transportation hub nodes and transportation development corridors can be determined through the joint layout of transportation advantage and location lines.Then,on the basis of the urban transportation system architecture,carry out the coupling and coordination of urban system planning accordingly,and promote the spatial coupling between traffic advantage and urbanization level from the aspect of system coupling.The cities and towns with high coupling and coordination degree of traffic advantage and urbanization level in all districts and counties of Ganzhou are distributed in the central urban area of Ganzhou and the Sannan area near Guangdong.The spatial agglomeration phenomenon of high coupling and coordination degree area is more significant.The low value area of coupling coordination degree is mainly distributed in the southeast and northeast edge of Ganzhou City.The main representative towns of low coupling coordination dispatching are Xunwu County,Ningdu county and Shicheng County.
