An Empirical Analysis Of Coupling And Coordinated Development Of Domestic Express Industry And Internet Industry

In recent years,the courier industry has experienced leapfrog development,continuous innovation in business models,China’s courier market demand continues to grow,the end of 2022 the National Post Bureau big data platform statistics of the courier business volume has officially exceeded 110.5 billion pieces,the courier industry has become a pivotal part of China’s service industry.And now,the correct guidance of the government,the industry sector attaches great importance to the Internet and the active participation of Internet enterprises,so that the Internet industry continues to grow and develop,and form a close link with other industries,the courier industry and ushered in unprecedented business opportunities.With the rapid development of the Internet industry and the express industry,the express industry and the Internet industry have become key factors in promoting economic development,but there has long been the problem of unbalanced development between regions in China,and how to promote the coordinated development of the two industries in the context of high-quality development has become an urgent problem facing today’s society.In the established literature,scholars have conducted a lot of research mainly on the one-way influence mechanism of how the Internet industry guides the development of the express delivery industry,while quantitative analysis of the coupled and coordinated development,evolution,and spatio-temporal effects between the industries is not common.In view of this,this paper breaks through the traditional paradigm of analysis of single action mechanism and adopts the theory of system coupling as follows: firstly,the evaluation index of express industry development is constructed from four dimensions of industry scale,economic efficiency,infrastructure and service level,and the evaluation index of Internet industry development is constructed from three dimensions of infrastructure,popularization ability and application ability,and the entropy value method is used to calculate the development index respectively,so as to analyze China’s express industry and the development of the Internet industry.Secondly,based on the panel data of31 provinces from 2012 to 2021,the coupling and coordination model of express industry and Internet industry is constructed,and the coupling and coordination degree of four major regions and each province is measured,based on the results of which the coupling and coordination development level of express industry and Internet industry is analyzed from the perspective of time and space,and the global trend surface,coupling and coordination type,spatial agglomeration of coupling and coordination degree and directional evolution law are elaborated.Finally,the influencing factors of the coupled and coordinated development of the express and Internet industries are analyzed,and indicators at five levels of economic development level,industrial structure,science and technology development level,education level and government intervention are selected to construct a spatial Durbin fixed-effect model to explore in depth the influence mechanism of the spatial and temporal evolution of the coupled and coordinated development of the express and Internet industries,and to propose corresponding countermeasures for the existing problems,so as to better coordinate the The main findings of this paper are as follows.The main conclusions obtained in this paper are as follows:(1)In constructing the evaluation system for the development of express and Internet industries,it is found that the development speed of China’s express industry continues to slow down,but the development level is gradually distributed in a balanced manner and the gap is narrowed;the development of Internet industry shows an upward trend in general,but the development gap between provinces and regions increases.(2)In the verification of the coupling relationship between the two industries,it is found that there is a significant interactive coupling relationship between the express industry and the Internet industry,and the express industry and the Internet industry are interactive and integrated,mutually constrained development process,and the two systems serve as a background for each other and influence each other.(3)The analysis of the coupled and coordinated development of the two industries shows that the coupled and coordinated development of the domestic courier industry and the Internet industry is at an insufficient and unbalanced level,and there are large differences in the level of coupled and coordinated development between provinces,showing a spatial distribution pattern of "strong in the east and weak in the west,high in the south and low in the north",and there has been a polarization and concentration in the southeast direction.(2)The spatial distribution pattern of "strong in the east and weak in the west,high in the south and low in the north" has been polarized and concentrated in the southeast.(4)By establishing a spatial Durbin fixed-effects model,it is found that the coupled and coordinated development of the express industry and the Internet industry has a significant spatial spillover effect,and there are certain differences in the spatial effects of each influencing factor on local and neighboring areas.In terms of influence mechanism,economic development has a promoting effect on the coupled development of the two industries,R&D capability has a promoting effect and negative spillover effect,and science and technology innovation and education level has a promoting effect and positive spillover effect.Based on the above conclusions,the optimization path to promote the coordinated development of the two industries coupling is proposed.Firstly,attention should be paid to the development differences between regions and strengthen regional correlation cooperation,both in terms of formulating policy measures and strengthening inter-regional cooperation in order to narrow the coordinated development gap.Secondly,the regional economic foundation should be consolidated and the transformation of economic development should be accelerated;the eastern region should shift its development focus to improving the quality of development,the central provinces should accelerate the pace of development and actively integrate into the economic development strategy,and the western region and the northeast region should take improving the speed of development as the primary task and stimulate the endogenous development drive,thus realizing the coordinated symbiosis between the express industry and the Internet industry.Finally,it is proposed that scientific and technological innovation and policy system leadership should be strengthened to promote the development of scientific and technological innovation.Local finance should increase the expenditure on science and technology,strengthen the top-level design,refine policy measures,combine the development characteristics of the region,formulate corresponding policies,and effectively promote the coupled and coordinated development of the courier industry and the Internet industry in the region to make substantial progress.
