With the development of network science and technology in China and the emergence of many E-commerce platforms,there are more and more goods transportation demands,which promote the rapid development of China’s express industry.Express transportation is playing a huge role in economic activities.Company A is a large-scaled logistics enterprise which focuses on providing customers with transportation,warehousing and distribution and other value-added logistics services.With its high-quality logistics services and customer satisfaction degree of high standards,Company A quickly occupies the market.As an emerging industry,logistics industry has attracted more and more attention.Logistics industry has become an important cost-saving source of enterprises.With the rapid development of logistics industry and the improvement of scientific and technological level,it seems that Company A is using cumbersome and backward warehousing management methods,warehousing layout management processes and equipment and talent management and other aspects.These problems have seriously affected operation efficiency of warehousing and logistics.Therefore,Company A needs to improve its current warehousing management situations,optimize management processes and to improve its comprehensive competitiveness.This paper researches warehousing situations of Company A,analyzes its operation status,finds out current warehouse management problems and puts forward some solutions to existing problems.This paper uses literature research method and questionnaire survey method to conduct an in-depth study on the warehouse management process.By referring to relevant literature at home and abroad and considering current warehousing operation status of Company A and related problems,the paper proposes ideas and methods for the improvement of Company A’s warehouse management.Besides,questionnaires were done to warehouse staff of Company A and main problems existing in the existing management system and working process of Company A’s warehouse were systematically analyzed according to relevant warehouse management theories.Analysis and research show that core problems affecting the low warehousing operation efficiency of Company A’s warehouse are shown as follows: imperfect management process,unreasonable layout planning,inadequate equipment application,shortage of management talents and insufficient application of information technology.Besides,this paper also puts forward some improvement plans to solve problems existing in the warehouse management of Company A,such as the improvement and optimization of warehouse entry and exit operation processes,the application of ABC classification method and SLP warehouse layout optimization analysis method to plan the warehouse layout again,standardize the use of equipment,the improvement of utilization rate of equipment,the formation of training plans and serious reward and punishment system and the conduction of personnel training.Finally,in order to make better the improvement plan,safeguarding measures are proposed from the four aspects of management,system,technology and personnel.Through the analysis and optimization of the operation status of Company A’s warehouse,this paper puts forward some methods to improve warehouse operation efficiency of Company A and its warehousing management level.It is hope that this research can provide corresponding reference significance and values for the warehouse management of the same industry.
