While Sports is being part of people's life style,the demand of sport products has been dramatically increased.Its related sport products industry and shared marketplace are growing so fast accordingly.Along with new generation of inter net technology revolution,the E-commence business model B2 C reached all business areas,which support the online channel in whole end to end sale model strongly.As one of traditional brick mortar store in part of offline channel,the customized the new requirement is changing the way they run before,and impacted the existing whole sale framework,and supply chain,transportation,warehouse operation as well.This research is focusing on how those new customer needs in responsiveness marketplace influence and impact current warehouse operation which was designed for traditional B2 B business model,and identify the bottle neck the missing capability in terms of people,facility,procedure and information.To build new operation capability,improve operation productivity,optimize current operation process and procedure through applying warehouse management theories,which is fully support and align company existing situation and long term strategy and new warehouse operation requirement from marketplace.Company N is the leading company in sports products industry,its sale operation and warehouse operation way represent industry model,and problem they are facing for new customer demand is also the common problem in sports industry.Company's sale model is based on traditional wholesale model,very less of own retail store.Its warehouse operation design including process,facility,people are purpose to large in and large out mode for wholesale customer.But under new responsiveness marketplace requirements,even if for whole customer,the order based packing and delivery are required.The problem for company needs to be solved on warehouse operation part should cover organization,facility,operation process and information technology.The problem needs to be fixed holistically instead of piece by piece,otherwise we just shift the bottle neck from one point to another point,can't solve problem from end to end.The leveraging of new advanced technology,high efficient facility,mature warehouse management theory and best practice,well organized people structure are the key success points.Building a reliable,stable,flexible,extendible new logistic framework and warehouse operation is the foundation of company growing and future development,which is a c ritical enabler to make sure company success in marketing competition.
