China’s marketization reform is carried out under the mutual cooperation and supplement of market mechanism and government macro-control,with "Chinese characteristics".However,the current market economic system reform has some problems,such as imperfect market system and low efficiency of resource allocation.It is challenging for export trade to change from "quantity" growth to "quality" improvement.Under the strategic background of "domestic and international double circulation","innovation driven development" and "trade power",this thesis focuses on the effect of China’s marketization process on export scale and quality,in order to provide a theoretical basis for deepening China’s marketization reform,promoting high-level opening to the outside world,and then promoting the further development of open economy.On the basis of combing the existing literature,this thesis first defines the concepts of marketization process,export scale and quality and regional innovation efficiency,summarizes the connotation of market economic system reform theory,resource allocation theory,innovation driven theory,technology gap theory and new trade theory,and points out the guiding role of the existing research results for this thesis;Secondly,it analyzes the development status of China’s marketization process and export scale and quality;Thirdly,it theoretically analyzes the mechanism of China’s marketization process affecting export scale and quality,and puts forward research hypotheses;Then,using the panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2008 to 2019,the fixed effect method is used to empirically test the research hypothesis,and the robustness and endogeneity of the model are discussed.The main results show that:(1)On the whole,China’s marketization process has significantly promoted the export scale and quality,and the promotion effect on the export scale is greater than that on the export quality;The indirect role of innovation efficiency in the relationship between the process of marketization and the scale and quality of exports is partly mediated.(2)There are differences in the effect of marketization process on export scale and quality and the indirect role of innovation efficiency in the relationship between government and market,non-state-owned economic development,factor market development,product market development,intermediary organization development and legal environment.(3)The effect of marketization process on export scale and quality and the indirect effect of innovation efficiency in the relationship between them have regional heterogeneity in the East,Middle and West.Finally,according to the research conclusion,this thesis puts forward policy suggestions on how to promote the "simultaneous improvement of quantity and quality" of China’s export trade by deepening marketization reform and improving innovation efficiency.16 figures,19 tables,150 references...
