Research On The Impact Of China’s Digital Economy On Export Quality

Along with the economic development,China’s export scale is constantly expanding,but there is still room to develop the export quality.On the other hand,many researchers have found that the spatial distribution structure of China’s digital economy is highly concentrated,and the spatial effect caused by the development of digital economy is very important.In the context of high quality trade and dual circulation development policy,it is of great practical significance to study the influence of China’s digital economy on the export quality for promoting the transformation and upgrading of China’s export trade and the coordinated development of export quality among different regions in China.Based on the panel data of 31 provinces and cities in China from 2010 to 2020,this paper adopts the improved entropy method to measure the development level of provincial digital economy,and uses the binary margin of export method to measure the export quality.Firstly,the relevant theories and research on digital economy and export quality are collected to analyze the action mechanism of digital economy on export quality.Secondly,it conducts quantitative research on the level of digital economy and export quality,and explores its spatial distribution and dynamic changes.Thirdly,by constructing the corresponding spatial panel model,this paper analyzes the spatial effect of digital economy on export quality,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The development of China’s digital economy has a positive impact on export quality,among which digital infrastructure is the most dominant factor in this process;(2)The spatial effect of digital economy on export quality is significant and negative,that is,the development of digital economy has an inhibitory effect on the development of export quality of surrounding provinces and cities;(3)The development of digital economy will indirectly promote the development of export quality by promoting technological innovation,improving quality human capital,and reducing trade costs and other pathways;(4)By region,the impact of digital economy development on export quality in the central and western regions is more obvious than that in the eastern region,and there is a diffusion spatial effect in the central and western regions,while the eastern region is a siphon spatial effect.The research conclusions of this paper enrich the empirical research on the impact of digital economy on export quality.Based on the selection of updated data samples,a spatial panel model is constructed to investigate the direct impact of different dimensions of digital economy on export quality from the perspective of space,and three important ways as intermediary variables to study the indirect path of digital economy’s impact on export quality.This provides a new perspective and basis for studying how digital economy affects export quality,and has certain policy guiding significance for the government to optimize export trade structure,rationally allocate regional elements,give play to the role of digital economy,and realize the coordinated development of regional export quality in the future development stage.
