HX Company,as the first regional headquarter construction company established by CSCEC in the Haixi market of Fujian,primarily engages in the construction industry.The stability of its technical talent team plays a crucial role in the company’s high-quality development.However,data from the past five years reveals that HX Company’s technical talent attrition rate is significantly higher than that of other companies in the same industry.In order to better understand and address the issue of technical talent attrition at HX Company,this research conducted a comprehensive study and analysis of the company’s current situation through literature review,interviews,and surveys,exploring the causes of technical talent attrition.The research identifies six primary reasons for the attrition of technical talent at HX Company,namely an unreasonable compensation system;insufficient training and learning opportunities provided by the company;an irrational promotion system;a lack of conducive corporate culture and atmosphere;work locations being too far from home;and superior job opportunities available externally.Based on the analysis of interview and survey data,this research proposes targeted countermeasures,including: optimization of a fair and reasonable compensation system;innovation in training methodologies;improvement of career development paths and promotion systems;fostering a corporate culture that enhances a sense of belonging;adopting a localized human resource management strategy for recruitment;and enhancing internal and external social interactions.The aim of this research is to lay the foundation for proposing effective countermeasures by analyzing the reasons for technical talent attrition at HX Company,with the expectation of reducing the attrition rate of technical talents and strengthening human resource management for technical talents.After implementing these suggestions,it is expected to effectively reduce the attrition of technical talents.The findings and recommendations also serve as valuable references for similar construction companies.Given the fierce global economic competition and the high-tech,knowledge-intensive nature of the construction industry,addressing talent attrition is of paramount importance,not only for HX’s success but also for the sustainable development of the industry.
