| For a long time,the academic research on rural tourism destinations is mainly based on cultural aesthetics and image perception,while few studies start from the perspective of tourists’ landscape memory.With the rise of the era of mass tourism,there is a clear trend towards high-quality and high-end tourism demand,making it increasingly important to create tourist destinations that are memorable for tourists.In the information era,online travel agency(OTA)platforms are rapidly emerging,and tourists have left many authentic and exciting online travel notes after visiting scenic spots,providing information reference for the identification of rural tourism landscape memory elements.At the same time,through the investigation of tourists’ rural landscape memory,we further explore the rural landscape memory characteristics of tourist groups,analyze the problems faced by scenic spots in the process of sustainable tourism development,and propose feasible development suggestions,providing new development ideas and research perspectives for the development of rural tourism.This article takes the rural tourism destination in Wuyuan,Jiangxi Province as a research case,using 85 collected online travel notes as data sources,and using ROST CM6.0 to mine text data information.Word frequency analysis is conducted on Wuyuan rural tourism travel notes,exploring tourists’ perception and memory of Wuyuan rural tourism landscape.Corresponding development strategies are proposed based on the main problems reflected in the study of tourists’ landscape memory in Wuyuan rural tourism destination.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The core memory elements of rural landscape mainly include five categories: natural environment landscape memory,farmland landscape memory,settlement architectural landscape memory,cultural life landscape memory,and rural atmosphere memory.Among them,natural environment landscape memory and farmland landscape memory are the most frequently remembered parts of Wuyuan tourists,and they are also the business cards of Wuyuan rural tourism landscape;The cultural life landscape is in the middle of the five indicators,indicating that rural cultural life landscapes still occupy an important proportion,and the development of rural tourism cannot abandon the productive nature of agriculture.In the future,the flexible application of agricultural elements and the combination of aesthetic design are particularly important.People’s production activities and production tools in the process of plowing,sowing,and autumn harvest can be created as landscape elements;The landscape memory and rural atmosphere memory of settlement buildings are weak,and attention needs to be paid to the repair and protection of set tlement buildings.The proportion of rural atmosphere memory elements is the lowest.The rural atmosphere of the scenic spot needs to be explored,created,and improved,in order to quickly improve the attractiveness of Wuyuan rural tourism destination.(2)The high-frequency words in the travel notes of Wuyuan involve a wide range of connotations,including both natural and humanistic landscapes,which also verifies that rural landscapes are composed of natural and humanistic elements,and are formed by the long-term interaction between natural and human activities.The different presentation forms of these two types of landscape elements make the overall landscape of Wuyuan tourist destination become distinct and three-dimensional.The text analysis of Wuyuan rural tourism travel notes shows that the rape flower landscape image,terrace landscape image,autumn sun landscape image,Huizhou architectural landscape image,and hill landscape image constitute the core rural landscape memory elements of Wuyuan touris ts,and these rural landscape memory elements outline a perfect Wuyuan rural tourism landscape.(3)The landscape memory elements of rural tourists in Wuyuan have obvious "core edge" structural characteristics.The structure diagram of semantic network shows t hat the landscape memory of the tourist group is spherical and radial,and the overall structure includes three levels of circles,spreading outward from the core circle,and the density decreases gradually,indicating that the structure of the tourist landscape memory is relatively clear and rich;The settlement architectural landscape and farmland landscape in the core circle layer occupy a core dominant position in the landscape memory of Wuyuan tourists.The two have a high degree of memory correlation and close structural connection,while other types of landscape memory elements in the outer circle layer are distributed around the settlement architectural landscape and farmland landscape,playing a role in supplementing and enriching tourists’ landscape memory.(4)The theme of tourists’ memories of Wuyuan rural landscape can be summarized as natural and cultural elements.According to the thematic analysis model of Wuyuan rural landscape memory elements,it can be seen that the cultural elements are mainly influenced by the characteristics of tourists,and the difference in tourist perception stems from the different social and cultural backgrounds of tourists;Natural elements are mainly influenced by the objective manifestations of landscapes,such as the variability,complexity,mystery,complexity,and consistency of landscapes,which are all factors that affect tourists’ rural landscape memory. |
