Comparative Advantage Study Of Chongqing In The Yangtze River Economic Belt

The Yangtze River Economic Zone,which spans the three major regions of East and West of China,has a unique strategic position and construction value in the strategy of regional coordinated development,and is one of the core strategies of national economic development.Chongqing is an important city in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.It is of great significance to correctly understand and accurately grasp its comparative advantages in the Yangtze Economic Belt.This paper chooses several statistical and mathematical modeling methods to quantitatively analyze the comparative advantages of Chongqing in population,economy,manufacturing industry,foreign trade,scientific and technological innovation,location and transportation in the framework of the Yangtze economic belt.This paper collects relevant data on 39 indicators of 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2012 to 2016.By using the demographic dividend index and the per capita education Age index,the comparative advantage of population is described,a new measure of the Population Advantage Index is given,and the corresponding values of the provinces and cities are obtained,and the population advantage of Chongqing is ranked as the 6th in the Yangtze river economic belt.Nine indexes,such as per capita GDP and the proportion of science and technology expenditure to GDP,which reflect the comprehensive economic strength of each province and province,are selected.The comprehensive economic strength of 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is comprehensively evaluated by principal component analysis.Chongqing ranks fourth in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Using the location entropy index to quantitatively analyze the development level of 31 industries in the 11 provinces and cities of the Changjiang Economic Belt,the 3 industries with the most advantage in Chongqing are automobile manufacturing,railways,ships,aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing,computer,communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry.Analysis the development speed of the industries under the manufacturing industry with the aggregation index,and know that the most promising industries in Chongqing are chemical fiber manufacturing,metal products industry,wood processing and bamboo and rattan palm grass products industry,etc.5 industries;Based on the index of total foreign trade,foreign trade dependence and dominant comparative advantage index,it is known that Chongqing foreign trade has comparative advantage in the Yangtze River economic belt and its products export is competitive.This paper selects eight indexes that affect the manpower input,capital investment,innovation achievement and innovation environment in science and technology innovation activities and analyzes the level of science and technology innovation in 11 provinces and cities by using the efficiency coefficient method and entropy method.Chongqing ranks 5th in the Yangtze River economic belt and rank 1st in upstream economic belt;Using the four indexes of macro differential rent and transportation convenience index,this paper comprehensively evaluates the location advantages of provinces and cities,and Chongqing ranks fourth;The traffic systems of provinces and cities were evaluated with weighted TOPSIS method by screening seven indexes,such as railway,highway operating mileage density and inland waterway mileage density.Chongqing ranks 5th in the Yangtze River economic belt and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River economic belt rank 1st.Based on the results of quantitative analysis,the comparative advantages of Chongqing in the whole Yangtze River economic belt and the upper Yangtze River economic belt are determined,and the following suggestions are put forward for Chongqing's development plan in the whole Yangtze River economic belt.1)Energetically developing technology-intensive and capital-intensive industries to become the economic center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River(3)an important modern manufacturing base for the country(4)speeding up the construction of inland open highlands 5)Innovation leading cities in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.City 6)the upper reaches of the Yangtze River economic belt transportation hub city.This will provide a useful reference and effective decision support for Chongqing's future economic and social development planning and strategic positioning,and promote the better development of Chongqing and then promote the coordinated development of provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,so as to promote better and sustainable development of China's economy.
