Willingness And Influencing Factors Of The Rural Elderly To Support Each Other In Maigeti County,Xinjiang

At present,the aging of China’s population is becoming more and more serious,and the issue of pensions is of great concern.As the Xinjiang region continues to develop,the economic,demographic and social conditions in Mageti County have also undergone great changes.In recent years,the government has also actively introduced measures to accelerate the pace of elderly security and rural social development in an effort to create a better life.The security for the elderly in old age is an important issue for social stability and development.The government has not only increased the welfare and security for the elderly,but also improved the health and quality of life of the elderly through publicity and education and promotion of knowledge.From the perspective of active aging,this study takes rural elderly people in Mageti County,Xinjiang as the research object,and conducts an in-depth analysis of the willingness of rural elderly people to provide mutual assistance and the influencing factors.Data were collected using questionnaires and field visits,and data analysis was conducted using statistical software such as SPSS,and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)According to the statistics of willingness to participate,there are more elderly people who are willing to participate in mutual old-age support in rural areas of Mageti County,Xinjiang,and the elderly people are more willing to participate in mutual old-age support.Through univariate analysis,26 variables in four dimensions of personal characteristics,family factors,social factors and behavioral cognition were analyzed interactively with the willingness of rural elderly to participate in mutual care,and a total of 16 variables passed the chi-square test.(2)The questionnaire showed significant differences in six variables among the individual characteristics of the elderly:economic source,self-care status,age,marital status,physical health and education;the variable of annual family income among the family factors;six variables amon g the social factors:neighborhood relationship,frequency of activities of village organizations,frequency of participation in elderly activities,concern of village organizations for life,seeking help in case of difficulties,and organization of service center activities.(3)Improving the willingness of elderly people to help each other in their old age requires the joint efforts of all sectors of society,and only with the concerted efforts of everyone can we create a warm and happy environment in their old age.Through mutual help,we can change the traditional concept and adapt to the new elderly care model.More and more elderly people in Mageti County are choosing mutual aid retirement homes,which is a personalized and diversified way of aging.While providing quality services,the mutual help elderly care model also brings a more active and open life to the elderly,allowing them to live a happy,healthy and beautiful old age.
