In the context of rural revitalization, rural tourism is considered to be an important alternative for the sustainable development of rural economy due to its strong promotion role in economic, social and cultural aspects,as well as its characteristics of taking into account ecology, environment and other comprehensive benefits in an all-round way,and provides a strong starting point for rural revitalization. From the perspective of farmers, rural tourism has a profound impact on farmers’ livelihood capital and outcomes, thus becoming an important factor in the transformation of farmers’ livelihoods.Vigorously developing rural tourism has provided a strong boost to consolidating the achievements of rural poverty alleviation, which is conducive to increasing the income of rural farmers, promoting the sustainable and coordinated development of villages and farmers, and helping to solve the current problem of prominent contradictions between rural people and land. This study takes Xianghai Village,Jilin Province,a typical case site in conservation development,as an example, takes the micro perspective of farmers as the starting point, uses the sustainable livelihood analysis framework, puts forward hypotheses and constructs models, empirically studies the impact path of Xianghai Village farmers’ livelihood capital on rural tourism livelihood outcomes through field research, and combines quantitative and qualitative analysis to obtain the impact of rural tourism development on farmers’ livelihoods. Finally, based on the actual local situation, suggestions were put forward for the coordinated development of rural tourism and farmers’ livelihoods in Xianghai Village and similar resource-based villages.Based on the sustainable livelihood analysis framework, this paper constructs three index evaluation systems of rural tourism, livelihood capital and livelihood outcomes, designs a questionnaire, uses participatory evaluation methods to conduct formal household surveys on farmers, and finally performs statistical description and correlation analysis of the obtained data, and measures the goodness-of-fit and path coefficients of the constructed hypothetical model, and obtains the following results:First, the development of rural tourism in Xianghai Village has a significant positive impact on livelihood capital. In particular, the impact on human capital and physical capital is the most significant, followed by natural capital and financial capital, while the impact on social capital is relatively small.Second, rural tourism has a significant positive impact on livelihood outcomes.Third, within livelihood capital, human and physical capital have a significant positive impact on livelihood outcomes, while natural, financial, and social capital have a less significant impact on livelihood outcomes.Based on the results of the above quantitative analysis, the impact of rural tourism development in Xianghai Village on the livelihood of rural households was qualitatively analyzed. Finally, based on the actual situation of Xianghai Village, the following suggestions are put forward for the coordinated development of rural tourism and farmers’ livelihoods in Xianghai Village: strengthen skills training and strengthen the construction of talent team;Optimize the lending environment and solve the problem of capital shortage;Develop the collective economy and promote the integration of tourism industries;Set up cooperative organizations to optimize and integrate resources;Enhance willingness to participate and promote tourism investment growth;Improve infrastructure and coordinate protection and development relations.
