The Influence Of High-tech Industry Agglomeration On The Development Of Digital Economy

At present,although China’s digital economy is developing rapidly,there are still some problems,such as weak innovation ability of digital core technology,insufficient personnel training,infrastructure construction and imperfect governance system,which hinder the highquality and sustainable development of digital economy.High-tech industry agglomeration can drive the flow and accumulation of knowledge,technology,talents and other resources.It will play an important role in promoting technological innovation,optimizing resource allocation,improving the construction of new infrastructure,and promoting the upgrading of industrial structure.To study the influence of high-tech industrial agglomeration on the development of digital economy is not only an important choice to improve the development quality of hightech industrial agglomeration,but also a practical need to support the country to build superior digital industrial clusters.Based on this,this paper tries to discuss the influence of high-tech industrial agglomeration on the development of digital economy from the perspective of industrial agglomeration,in order to provide some theoretical reference and policy inspiration for the development of high-tech industry and digital economy in the new era.This paper firstly reviews the literature related to high-tech industrial agglomeration and the development of digital economy,and summarizes the theory of high-tech industry,industrial agglomeration theory and digital economy theory.Secondly,based on the panel data of 30 provincial levels in the mainland of China from 2013 to 2020,the current situation of high-tech industry and digital economy was analyzed and measured,and the Arc GIS10.5 software was used to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution of high-tech industry agglomeration and digital economy in China.Then,based on the influence mechanism and research hypothesis of hightech industrial agglomeration on the development of digital economy,the threshold model and spatial Dubin model are constructed,and the threshold effect and spatial spillover effect of hightech industrial agglomeration on the development of digital economy are tested empirically by Stata16.0 software.Finally,based on the empirical results,the paper summarizes and sorts out the research conclusions and puts forward policy suggestions.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The agglomeration of high-tech industries has a positive nonlinear effect on the development of digital economy,and there is a law of diminishing marginal effect.Among them,the high-tech industrial agglomeration level of Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou is in a dominant position in China and has exceeded the threshold value at present,while other provinces and cities in China are lower than the threshold value,indicating that most of the provinces and cities in China are in the advantageous stage of high-tech industrial agglomeration to promote the development of digital economy.(2)The high-tech industrial agglomeration and the development level of digital economy in various provinces show positive spatial correlation characteristics of high-high agglomeration and lowlow agglomeration.(3)At the national level,high-tech industrial agglomeration can significantly improve the development of digital economy on the whole,but it has different spatial spillover effects under different spatial weight matrix Settings.That is,under the spatial weight matrix setting of geographical distance,high-tech industrial agglomeration has significant positive spillover effects on the development of digital economy.However,the economic distance space weight matrix has a significant negative spillover effect.(4)From the perspective of the three economic regions,the spillover effect of high-tech industry agglomeration on the development of digital economy in the eastern region is significantly positive,while that in the central and western region is significantly negative.Based on the above analysis,the corresponding policy suggestions are put forward: guide the quality of high and new technology industrial agglomeration,to promote the development of digital economy high quality;enhance the innovation ability of high-tech industry to optimize the development and construction ecology of digital economy;promote the coordinated development of high-tech industries to narrow the regional digital economy gap.
