| With the decrease of birth rate and the extension of population life expectancy, the aging level of China’s population is becoming increasingly serious, and the elderly care problem in rural areas is particularly prominent.Traditional elderly care models can no longer meet the current elderly care requirements. The rural mutual assistance elderly care mode,as a new type of elderly care service model, integrates the advantages of home care and institutional elderly care, and to some extent alleviates the pressure of elderly care. However, rural mutual assistance elderly care is still in the exploratory stage, and needs to be continuously optimized, innovated and improved in practice to better serve the elderly care in rural areas.Based on the above situations, this thesis analyzes the research results of mutual aid elderly care in China and abroad, and takes the rural mutual aid elderly care model in Sishui County as the research object.Through questionnaire survey and interview methods,a solid survey was conducted on the situations of mutual aid elderly care in rural areas of Sishui County. Conclusions are made as follows:Firstly, the aging population in rural areas of Sishui County is severe.A large number of empty-nest people and left-behind elderly people who have low economic income lack daily care and spiritual comfort.Mutual assistance elderly care models such as community day care centers, rural happiness centers, and community based mutual assistance elderly care have met the elderly care needs of rural elderly people with low-cost and wide coverage characteristics.Secondly, through empirical analysis,it is found that the satisfaction of rural mutual assistance elderly care is influenced by both internal and external factors. The internal factors are the cognitive impairment of rural elderly people due to their poor health status, unfamiliarity with the surrounding environment, and disharmonious neighborhood relationships. The external factors are insufficient materials and spiritual supplies. The reasons for the above problems are due to the lack of funding sources for rural mutual assistance elderly care, operational difficulties, single content of elderly care services, and insufficient professional elderly care service personnel which lead to the low quality of elderly care services. In turn, the satisfaction of rural elderly people in mutual assistance elderly care is affected.Thirdly, the optimization strategies for further improving rural mutual assistance elderly care mainly include the following aspects: to exert the leading role of the government and improve the construction of elderly care security mechanisms;to innovate asset management methods to solve the dilemma of pension funds;to improve the operational mechanism of mutual aid elderly care organizations and improve the quality of elderly care services;to create a social atmosphere and encourage diverse participation to meet the needs of the elderly at different levels. |
