In recent years, pastoral complexes have provided new ideas and created new models for the construction of new rural areas, and the construction of pastoral complexes is committed to improving the "three rural" issues.Letting farmers benefit and fully participate in the construction of pastoral complexes is one of the key points in the construction of pastoral complexes.Based on this, farmers are the core subject of the construction of pastoral complexes, and farmers’ subjective attitude and willingness to participate in the construction of pastoral complexes are particularly important. From the perspective of farmers, this paper focuses on farmers’ willingness to participate in the development of pastoral complexes and its influencing factors, and selects three pastoral complexes in Hunan Province, namely Xuanzhou Town,Hengshan County,Hengyang City(national pilot),and Rucheng,Chenzhou City.Farmers in Shazhou Village(provincial pilot)and Leijialing Township,Lanshan County,Yongzhou City(self-reported area)were selected as the research objects.Probit regression and structural equation model were used to analyze farmers’ willingness to participate in the construction of pastoral complexes and the influencing factors from five dimensions: individual characteristics, family characteristics, resource endowment characteristics, psychological cognitive characteristics, and external environment characteristics. The results show that among the personal characteristics factors, age has a significant negative impact, education level has a significant positive impact, while gender and whether or not to work outside the home have not passed the significance test.Among the factors of family characteristics, the number of laborers has a significant positive impact, while the proportion of agriculture and the main economic income of the family have not passed the significance test.Resource endowment factors have a significant positive impact on the external environment and psychological cognition, and resource endowment characteristic factors not only directly affect psychological cognition and external environment, but also indirectly have a positive effect on farmers’ willingness to participate through external environmental factors and psychological cognition factors.Impact.Both psychological cognitive characteristics and external environment characteristics have significant positive effects, among which the standard coefficient of psychological cognitive characteristics on farmers’ willingness to participate is the largest.Based on the above analysis, four policy suggestions are put forward: 1.Innovate the benefit distribution mechanism, expand the income-generating channels for farmers, and allow farmers to participate in "interested";2.Improve the level of grass-roots governance, strengthen the skills training of farmers, and let farmers participate in "capable";3.Deepen the publicity of policies that benefit the people, stimulate the endogenous motivation of farmers, and let farmers participate in "passionate";4.Protect the original ecosystem, strengthen the creation of local characteristics, and allow farmers to participate in "guaranteed".
