As a labor-intensive and traditional manufacturing industry,the valve industry faces many challenges such as cost,technology,market and brand,and how to survive and develop at the background of the vertical development tendency of global economic integration,valve enterprises must re-think and explore the topic.China’s valve industry has become one of the world’s largest valve manufacturing industry,but compared with foreign valve industry giants,there is still a large gap.In this paper,we take A valve company as the research sample,through analyzing its industry,economy,politics,society and other external development environment,as well as combining its own advantages and disadvantages,A valve company should follow the theory of industrial structure and value chain,seek the development opportunity with high investment return in strategic transformation option.In this paper,A valve company in keeping the traditional valve business unchanged,in the context of national efforts to develop smart water,plus its own product competitive advantage and years of experience in the water valve industry,can fundamentally solve the problem of data island,that is,solve the fundamental problems such as water hammer phenomenon and water pipe burst and leakage at the source through the technology developed by themselves,therefore,from the point of view of feasibility,we should deeply cultivate the smart water field with development prospect.At the same time,I focus more on A valve company in the field of intelligent water transformation possibilities and how to carry out the transformation,and put forward specific strategic measures and implementation path.With a view to provide strategic transformation reference value to the China’s enterprises in water valve industry combined with their own advantages in specific market.
