| Under the background of development in the new period,the construction industry is facing new development opportunities and challenges.Project managers play an important role in the process of project engineering management and implementation,and the ability and responsible attitude of project managers will affect the final construction quality of the project.To establish a comprehensive,scientific and objective performance appraisal system for project managers is the key to forming and enhancing core competitiveness.x B Construction Company,as a state-owned enterprise with a leading position in the field of civil aviation construction,has a performance appraisal system for its project managers that is crucial to the development of the enterprise.However,in the current market environment,the traditional performance appraisal system can no longer meet the needs of enterprise development.Therefore,this study aims to improve the performance appraisal system for project managers of XB Construction Company to better meet the market development needs,enhance the core competitive strength of the company,and achieve long-term development goals.Based on combing the literature on performance appraisal related concepts,theories and the current status of research,this paper,taking XB Construction Company as an example and combining field research and questionnaire method,identifies the problems of performance appraisal of project managers in XB Construction.They mainly include: the performance appraisal system is not scientific and reasonable enough,the performance appraisal index setting is one-sided,and the performance evaluation results do not receive timely feedback.The causes of the problems were analyzed as imperfect performance appraisal index system,unscientific process of performance appraisal formulation,inadequate communication and training of performance appraisal and insufficient attention of leaders to the application of performance appraisal results.Based on the analysis of the causes of the problems,we propose to optimize the performance appraisal index system.In this paper,we decompose the project manager performance indexes related to the strategic objectives of the enterprise with the help of fishbone diagram tool,screen the appropriate indexes,determine the weight of the indexes with hierarchical analysis,and form the appraisal index system.mechanism and implement training;strengthen the feedback and application of performance assessment results;and evaluate the optimization effect of the new project manager performance assessment system.In addition,to ensure the smooth implementation of the improvement plan,relevant guarantee measures are proposed from four aspects: ideology,organization,system and culture.This paper optimizes the project manager performance appraisal system of XB Company and provides a program reference for XB Construction Company to improve the efficiency of project manager performance appraisal to enhance the motivation of project managers,and also provides a reference for the performance appraisal of project managers of other construction engineering companies of the same type as XB Construction Company. |
