| Research background: since the logistics industry was included in the industrial revitalization plan in 2009,the layout and construction of national logistics hubs has become one of the important grasps to promote the revitalization work. This protracted hub layout has been constantly changing in function, positioning and level in almost every city since it was proposed, until the promulgation of the "National Logistics Hub Layout and Construction Plan" in 2018.The result of this long period of social construction is often hardly swayed by a single factor, but is the result of a complex combination of multiple factors. For this social-type polycentric complex adaptive system problem,it is difficult for the traditional research paradigm to dissect its internal mechanism. For example, studies conducted through typical correlation analysis and discriminant analysis are lacking in the discussion of the combination mechanism of each variable. On the other hand, since the concept of national logistics hubs has been proposed for a relatively short time, not many studies have been conducted in relation to it,and most of the existing studies review the development of hubs in local areas, while the discussion of the development of hubs in a macro perspective is lacking. Therefore, there is an urgent need to change both the research perspective and the research paradigm in the study of national logistics hubs.Research ideas: based on this, this thesis takes the macro development construction path of national logistics hubs as the foothold of the problem, combines the histological theory and uses the qualitative comparative analysis(QCA)derived from this theory as a research tool, aiming to dissect the histological configuration among the factors that can lead to the emergence of a specific outcome of hub construction and find the quality development path behind it.In this thesis, after reviewing various logistics guiding policies such as the National Logistics Hub and Construction Plan,it is found that hub construction involves the promotion of construction and type of construction of municipal hubs, and the number and type of construction of provincial hubs. This thesis also found that logistics efficiency is also one of the key words repeatedly emphasized in various policies.Considering that the measurement results of logistics efficiency can discuss the benefits of inputs and outputs on the one hand, and respond to the accuracy of logistics decisions such as hub construction;on the other hand, most of the current studies on logistics efficiency use local areas as research cases and lack further post hoc discussions on the measurement results. Thus, this thesis divides the research into three main sections: discussion of municipal hub construction, discussion of provincial hub construction, and discussion of logistics efficiency construction.Research content: firstly, based on the National Logistics Hub and Construction Plan and other policies, this thesis takes hub promotion results and type-quantity construction as outcome variables for municipal construction,type-quantity and hub-quantity construction as outcome variables for provincial construction, and total factor productivity measured by data envelope analysis(DEA)as outcome variables, and constructs a relevant configurational model.Secondly, this thesis carries out fuzzy calibration of the original data in the form of direct assignment and direct calibration, and carries out the research with fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method(fs QCA).After the data calibration is completed, the necessary condition analysis method(NCA)is combined with the QCA+NCA paradigm to discuss the degree of necessity of each condition variable for the results in a more fine-grained manner. For the construction of logistics efficiency, this thesis combines the DEA-Malmquist index to conduct a dynamic QCA analysis of logistics efficiency in the form of "time-dependent conditions".Finally, the thesis interprets and analyzes the configuration development paths found in the study by constructing a truth table, conducting configuration analysis and robustness testing,in order to find a stable and reliable path for hub and efficiency construction.Research conclusion: the results of the study indicate that human capital, economic environment, and synergistic capacity are necessary factors that can directly influence the construction outcome during the construction of municipal hub types. The resultant variables form two configurational development paths. It is worth mentioning that two of the five development paths that emerged from the hub promotion construction results are identical to the type construction paths in terms of both configuration and case.In the process of type construction of provincial hubs, three group state development paths emerged, and in the process of hub quantity construction, one development path emerged, which is also identical to one of the type construction paths in terms of configuration and case. The necessary conditions that can directly affect the results did not appear in the logistics efficiency discussion process, but two group development paths that can lead to high logistics efficiency construction and two non-high logistics efficiency group paths were identified through dynamic QCA.All of the above development paths were carried out stability tests by means of adjusting the threshold values, and the results remained stable,so this thesis formed some stable configurational development paths.Research Value: theoretically, this thesis applies the theory of configuration to the discussion of the management theory of complex systems such as national logistics hubs.In terms of methodology, this thesis is the first to apply DEA+QCA+NCA in the form of a linkage in the logistics field, and explores the application of dynamic QCA.In terms of practice, this thesis forms several quality development paths and cases for the construction of national logistics hubs and logistics efficiency, aiming to provide development path suggestions for various cities and provinces. |
