Objective: To study the effect and mechanism of Mai-Su powder on vascular endothelial function of Diabetic arterial occlusion of lower extremities (DAO) in Rabbits. Methods: The protecting effects of Mai-Su powder on vascular endothelial function of DAO in rabbits are evaluated by applying the high frequency Doppler technology, measuring the active substance secreted through endothelial cells in serum,observing endothelium-dependent relaxation responses of thoracic aortic rings and cultivating endothelial cells, respectively. Results: Mai-Su powder can improve blood-lipid, reduce blood-glucose, and accommodate effectively vascular endothelial function and resist lipid peroxide function. Conclusions: Mai-Su powder has the protecting effect on vascular endothelial cell of DAO in rabbits by all kinds of processes. The mechanism maybe relate to improving blood-lipid, reducing blood-glucose, stabilizing membrane of endothelial cell, resisting lipid peroxide function and accommodating effectively vascular endothelial function.
