With the rapid development of computer networks and internet technologies and the wide application of geographic information system(GIS),all levels of our government have put the acceleration of the development of information on a prominent position, while the construction of geographic information sharing platform is the most important part of the informatization. It can achieve information interoperability and sharing of resources, as well as offer the basic information resources support to the scientific decision-making, public services, social management and integrated supervision for government departments .Besides ,it will reduce costs of the construction of information, greatly shorten the construction period, guarantee actuality of the basic geographic information ,thus contributing to a higher work efficiency of our government and the improvement of public services. However, as the core platform of the database management, geographic information sharing platform involves the massive spatial data sharing and confidentiality of all units and departments. So it is very important to ensure the safety of the platform. This paper first analyzes the information security, and then defines the connotation of its security. After that it divides and analyzes its security level from architecture system. Finally some security policies are given from the perspective of technology and management, including technical and management security policies. Thus guarantee fully the security of geographical information sharing platform. This paper illustrates the concept of geographic information sharing platform, analyzes different characteristics of the general information system. It is found that we should consider overall the information security in the process of acquisition, collecting, management, sharing and application of information. For the exchange and share of the spatial information for various departments and levels of the government and enterprises, it is particularly important for different users to access the security and adopt appropriate strategies. This paper gives a detailed analysis of the spatial data storage, data access control model and multi-level security system, and proposes a two-level security access ways: first, the low-level security access model mainly based on different data layers; second, a higher security access model mainly in conjunction with ArcSDE and Oracle. On this basis, the paper puts forward a role-based management of the tuple-level tags of the multi-level security access control model. Using the the idea of classification mentioned above, we have got preliminary validation in the geographic information sharing platform of Maanshan.
