Steel strip thickness accuracy is one of two quality performances of the thickness and shape, and gauge control is one of the two key technologies in the rolling field. The simulation on strip gauge control is of operation significance. This paper presents a model of rolling mill on the study of elastic deformation and eccentricity of roller in the rolling, a mathematical model of the rolled strip on the study of plastic deformation in the rolling, a mathematical model of HAGC which is beneficial to analyzing the influences of the processing factors on the thickness accuracy on the study of the HAGC structure and control approach. This model is of variable parameters and can modify automatically in accordance to the parameters of the rolling mills. The paper analyzes the dynamic properties of HAGC using the model as object, simulates dynamically on the basis of setting parameters using graphical software and analytic software and analyzing the effects on the strip gauge when the roller eccentricity, the gauge of the incoming strip, the initial position of hydrocylinder and the plasticity coefficient of the strip vary; The results are identical with theory and operating condition in practice. It is significant for designing and controlling reasonably. This software uses Windows98 as its 0.S.. The Program is exploited and researched with Visual Basic 6.0 and Matlab, and every operated function is modularized owing to the superiority of object orient (00). This method makes program easily maintained. The model is encapsulated using Matlab and offer interface of transferring data, which enhances the ability of anti-jamming. This paper offers a method by which VB can transfer Matlab. It increases efficiency of programming and decreases amount of work. It gives a simple and feasible method to exploit software. The result shows the interface of this software is amity and easy to operate.
