Acne is a common, chronic, inflammatory, dermatogic disease of thepilosebaceous follicles, characterized by higher attack rate. It's a disease ofadolescent, with more than 90% of all teenagers being affected to somedegree. In moderately severe cases, disfigurations occur.15% of patient'scondition is more serious and required therapy. The leading factor ofcausing acne lesion is the free fatty acid produced by the glycerine insebaceous hydrolysises when stimulating by propionibacterium. Sodecreasing the propionibacterium in the hair bulbs becomes one of the maintherapies of acne . The therapeutical effects of the "the Decoction forAcne" on breadboard acne were studied through the acne experimentalmodels on rabbit's ears, "the Decoction for Acne" constituted by traditionalChinese medicine, which have depressant effects on P.Acne proved in thepreceding experiment . appling the electric iontophoresis machine, we hadthe further observation on the pathogenetic conditions of acne patients, andhave the notable clinical therapeutic effects. The acne experimental models on rabbit's ears were established in thisessay using Kligman method: The debouches of blanc rabbits' syrinxeswere continuously ecto-applied once a day by coal-tar for two weeks. Acneexperimental models were proved to be established on rabbit's ears throughnaked eye and histological observation. It's thus evident that intensiveacnes emerged by naked eye ; folliculus pili keratinous plugs, infundibulums of hair folliculus dilated as kettles, and horny substancesextend into the sebaceous glands were clearly seen under the lightmicroscopes. The spinous cell layer became plump in epidermis, andinflammatory cells obviously infiltrate the derma. After acne modelsestablished, rabbits' ears were partly applied with "the Decoction for Acne"and chloramphenicol, and pathological tissues were continuously selectedduring establishing acne models in order to observe the changing courses. Results demonstrated: Compared to pretherapy, the tissue pathology ofrabbits' ears showed that inflammation lightened obviously, fair follicluskeratinous plugs decreased and disappeared, and the debouches of fairfolliculus became flat after applying "the Decoction for Acne"; however, these changings which were similar to the changing of the tissue pathologyof rabbits' ears without any drug, were not obviously seen after applyingchloramphenicol. The effectiveness of "the Decoction for Acne" were further observedon the pathogenetic conditions of acne patients. Through the acceleratinginfiltration effect of iontophoresis, the "the Decoction for Acne" wereutilized in the iontophoresis combined with gesso facial mask , once a weekfor four weeks, in order to treat acne patients. We evaluated thepathogenetic conditions both using a modified samuelson's nine-grade acnescale before and after therapy. The therapeutic effects on acne wereclinically observed and established the control subjects without "theDecoction for Acne" to compare. The results demonstrated that thetherapeutic group using iontophoresis and the control subjects without "theDecoction for Acne" both have obvious effects. The acne rank of thetherapeutic group decreased from 5.26±1.44 to 2.54±1.09 after treatment, the Paired-Sample T Test indicates that the discrepancy is extremelynotable(t=19.86; p<0.01); The acne rank of the control group decreasedfrom 5.03±1.67 to 3.00±1.49after treatment, the Paired-Sample T Testindicates that the discrepancy is also extremely notable(t=12.51; p<0.01);Then the statistical analysis with the Chi-Square test were made: the effectof therapeutic group is significantly better than the control group's(X2=9.81;p<0.01). The obviously curing effectiveness of acne were both observedthrough the treatment on animal breadboard acne and human acne vulgrisby "the Decoction for Acne" external application. On the acne experimentalmodels on rabbit's ears, the acne become reducing , smaller and thedisappearance of the folliculus pili keratinous plugs; on the human acnevulgris, we can...
