Study On Relationship Between Morning Blood Pressure Surge And Severity Of Coronary Artery Stenosis

Objective:To investigate the relationship between Morning Blood Pressure Surge(MBPS) and severity of coronary artery stenosis.Methods:Two hundred and fifty-two patients were randomly induced.All patients(mean age 57.75±11.26years,168 males and 84 females) underwent angiography.Ambulatory blood pressure was measured after coronary angiography.All cases were divided into morning blood pressure surge grope(surge grope) and morning blood pressure normal grope(normal grope).The severity of coronary artery stenosis was evaluated by the number of impaired arteries and Gensinis score.Results:1.All cases were divided into two groups according to their blood pressure,MBPS group and non- MBPS group.MBPS group included 106 cases with mean age 55.05±11.10 years and non-MBPS group included 146 cases with mean age 61.45±10.43 years.Morning blood pressure surge varies with age(P=0.000).In the group of MBPS,the percentage of both CHD and two and three-vessel Pathological is much higher than non- MBPS group(101/56.1%vs 79/43.9%, 28.3%vs 15.1%,48.1%vs 3.4%,P=0.000) and the score of coronary artery stenosis is much higher(P=0.000).The constituent ratio of individuals who with diabetes mellitus and hypertensive disease were significantly higher in MBPS group,but gender and smoking not.My study showed that MBPS was strongly correlated with age(P=0.002).2.The occurrence of MBPS did not have relationship with gender,but the values of MBPS of male was higher than female(P＜0.05).Morning blood pressure surge varies with gender.3.In the group of single,two- and three-vessel Pathological group,MBPS values were higher than the normal group(P=0.000).4.Using the Bivariate correlations to analyze the relationship between Gensini score and every dangerous factors.The results shown that the percentage of CHD and the severity of coronary artery stenosis had positive correlation with age,diabetes mellitus,hypertensive disease, smoking and MBPS values.After the multiple stepwise regression,we got that age,MBPS values,smoking were the best Predictor for the severity of coronary artery stenosis,without the influence of diabetes mellitus,hypertensive disease,smoking. Conclusion:1.MBPS had closely correlation with the percentage of CHD and the severity of coronary artery stenosis,was an independent parameter of the percentage of CHD and the severity of coronary artery stenosis.2.The occurrence of MBPS had positive correlation with diabetes mellitus and hypertensive disease,negative correlation with gender and smoking.3.Age did influence the occurrence of MBPS and MBPS values,the MBPS values varied with age.Gender had nothing to do with the occurrence of MBPS,but the MBPS values varied with gender.
