In the teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the Chinese character teaching always is a key piont and the difficulty. This article attempted through the present foundational Chinese character teaching material and the ancient times private clan school teaching material comparative analysis. Summarized some beneficial experiences, used for the foreign Chinese character teaching. This article believed that, except applied the recent years in the foreign Chinese character teaching some research results, but also should realize the ancient times private clan school teaching material also to be able to provide plenty of new mentalities for the foreign Chinese character teaching.
