Teachers'ethic codes plays a vital part in in the development of teachers' professional ethics,and also an important part of it.In the'A dictionary of practical education',Professor Wang huanxun indicates that the teachers' professional ethic is the moral standards and ethnic codes that teachers should comply with in the teaching activity. Obviously,it includes internal moral character and the external teachers' ethic codes.Frequently.teachers' ethic codes becomes into the external teachers' ethics,and at the same time.teachers' ethics turns into external teachers'ethic codes.It is exaggerated to think that teachers' ethic codes equals to teachers' ethics.The exaggerated understanding of this conception has obviously unreasonable parts,For example,from the conceptional point of view,teachers' ethic codes is part of the construction of the teachers' professional ethic and the part of teacher's individually professional ethics.On the other hand,from the construction of the teachers' professional ethic point of view,in the practice,as the obvious role of the ethic codes,teacher's professional ethic development is totally depends on the construction of the teachers' professional ethic codes. So the right understanding of the essence of teachers' ethic codes has theoretical value,and it helps us understanding the relationship between teachers' ethic codes and the ethics.At the same time.it is very practical to the reasonable regulation of teachers' ethic codes,which is the key factor of the teachers' ethic codes construction.This thesis is divided into five parts.In the introduction part,it mainly introduces the reason of topic selection and research significance, and also the research methods and main opinions.In the theoretic basis part,it gives the definition of two pairs of conceptions:ethics and ethic code; teachers' ethics and teachers' ethic codes,and their mutual relationship,and also the essences of teachers' ethic codes. On the analysis of limitation of teachers' ethic codes,it gets the factors of the effective teachers' ethic codes and the supervision mechanism. In the main part of the thesis,it uses comparative analysis,the author translated the' Unprofessional conducts booklet' released by NUT (National Union of Teachers) in october 2007.The booklet lists all the unprofessional conducts which have been investigated in the past cases in detail.It covers all the aspects of teachers'life.Through the text analysis of the booklet one by one item.it has a comparative analysis between the current Chinese teachers' ethic codes.Chapter four and chapter five are the text analysis of the current Chinese teachers' ethic codes and the problems found in it.Finally,on the basis of revision and supplement to the current Chinese teachers' ethic codes and according to the result of comparative analysis and the empirical study,the thesis draws up a fictional teachers' ethic codes with rational structure and positive supervision mechanism.
