From two perspectives, traditional lexicology and lexical semantics, this paper has studyed and compared the similarities and differences of the basic lineal kinship terms in 42 dialects of Chinese. Traditional lexicology, mainly from word-formation comparison, include the number of syllables, reduplicated differences, morpheme select and sequence, to discuss the north-south regional differences of dialect kinship terms. Lexical semantics aspect, using the glosseme microstructure theory, from the synchronic sense base righteousness and justice domain to compare the dialect kinship terms. Paper is divided into five parts, the first part is an introduction; the middle part of the body is divided into three chapters; the last part is the conclusion.Introduction, based on the profile of Chinese kinship terms system, determines the object of study and describes the significance of this study, including the dialect significance, vocabulary and semantics significance; It also describes the research status and problems of dialect vocabulary and clarifies the intention of the subject; Dialect performed on material herein and related issues are described and presented in this article.Some are be used, like description, comparison, statistics, inductive and deductive and so on.The first chapter describes and compares an overview of the distribution of dialect lineal kinship terms. This chapter is divided into six sections, describing all kinds of forms of the grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren in dialects, and comparing their distribution geographical differences.The second chapter is a word formation comparison of linal kinship terns. This chapter which is divided into three sections, from the perspective of the traditional vocabulary words, compares the dialect kinship tems. The first section compares the kinship difference in the number of syllables of the word, concluded that southern dialects monosyllables is more than north; second section compares the difference reduplicated word formation, kinship come to northern dialect word use more overlapping formation, but southern dialects additional morphology use more; the third section compares morpheme difference, drawing that there are some different characteristics in dialects stem selection and order, affix shape and location between north and south.The third chapter is a comparison of linal kinship tems in dialects. This chapter which is divided into three sections, from the perspective of lexical semantics, uses the glosseme microstructure theory of synchronic to compare the dialect word meaning kinship. Section Ⅰ, by comparing the justice aspects, we can get the following conclusions:the same kind of kinship has different titles in different dialects; kinship with the same form represents different meaning in different dialects. Section Ⅱ, from the meaning of gamut, by comparing the difference in the amount of kinship meaning and the applicable language domain, shows that regional differences in dialects of the north and south again. Section Ⅲ, by comparing the modality, style, genre, time domain, register, foreign accompany meaning, shows that dialect kinship glosseme has rich meaning types.The conclusion summarizes the entire research paper, and also made a number of research questions for further study.
