Taxonomic Of Laena And Hypolaenopsis From China(Coleoptera,Tenebrionidae,Lagriinae)

Laena and Hypolaenopsis are the genera of Laenini in the family Tenebrionidae. Now we know Laena which own over360species in the world and115species in China. The Hypolaenopsis just is known5species in China. They inhabit mostly Hengduan Mountain around where include Yunnan, Sichuan and Xizang in China. This study was finished on the base of the speciemens which deposited in Hebei University, collected in the field, borrowed from other organizations and checked in the Natural History Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.The paper has two parts:the general account and the classificatory account. In the general account, includes the research history of Laena and Hypolaenopsisi at home and abroad, the materials and methods of study, morphological character and the geographic distribution. The conclusion about geographic distribution of the two genus shows that the species inhabit smaller area and119species are endemic species. I think the reason is that the hind wings is absent and cause the spread is limited. In the classificatory account:120species in two genera from China are described in detail; key to species of each genus are presented; synonyms and citations of each taxon are listed in chronological order; the available data on the geographical distribution is also given89illustrations,112habitus and35legs are appended in total.17new species from China were found, and all are listed as follows:Laena zhengi Zhao&Ren,2011, Laena chiloriluxa Zhao&Ren,2012, Laena dentata Zhao&Ren,2012, Laena dentatocrassa Zhao&Ren,2012, Laena liangi Zhao&Ren,2012, Laena motogana Zhao&Ren,2012, Laena quadrata Zhao&Ren,2012, Laena bidentata sp.nov., Laena exjuncta sp.nov., Laena flectotibia sp.nov., Laena undentata sp.nov., Laena nuda sp.nov., Laena nana sp.nov., Laena cannaliculata sp.nov., Laena heterodenta sp.nov., Laena granidenta sp. nov., Laena dongchuana sp. nov..The type specimens are deposited in the Hebei University Museum, the Natural History Museum in Stuttgart, Germany and Institute of Zoological, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ZCAS).
