Study On Land Use Changes And Sustainable Use Based On GIS

The land is an important space for human production and life, and the most basic and important resources for human and social development. The research on land use changes is one of the hot and cutting-edge issues of global environmental change research. Sustainable use of land resources is the basis for sustainable development of human society. The ability to achieve sustainable land use directly impacts on the aim to realize regional sustainable land use, and thus influences the sustainable development of human society. No sustainable use of land resources means no sustainable development of human society. Many natural and human factors have an important impact on land use. We can get the laws of land use changes by analyzing the spatial and temporal changes of land use situation and the drivers of land use changes. It is the basis and premise of the scientific management of land that we propose the countermeasures of land use for sustainable development through analyzing land use changes and its driving factors. Taking Wuxia town in Wushan County for granted, this article analyzes land use dynamic changes in Wuxia town from1994to2009, and reveals every land type’s variation from the aspects of quantity and space. It can be seen from the variations that the largest changes in amplitude of all land types are urban land use, transportation and water conservation land, unused land and cultivated land. The research of land use changes is based on the status of land use at different times from the evolution of quantity and space. The analysis results show that land use changes in Wuxia town are very different in both quantity and space. On the basis of the analysis of land use changes, this paper analyzes the drivers of land use changes from natural and cultural factors. Natural factors are mainly topography, geomorphology and hydrology. The research of the human factors analysis is by analyzing the changes of different land use types. Analysis results show that related human factors, such as the national key projects, population transfer, industrialization and urbanization, policy factors, economic factors, are the main driving factors of land use changes from1994to2009. At the same time, on the basis of analyzing land use changes and its drivers, this article takes the actual situation into account, finds out the problems of land use, and finally proposes countermeasures for sustainable development of land use from the land use control, land use structure and layout optimization, integrated land remediation and ecological environmental protection, etc.
