In order to ensure the continuity and maneuverability of the sintering production, the in and out materials and material handling process have many process ores, the control of the material in the ores is called sintering material balance control. The sintering material balance is always a problem in sintering process control, guarantee the material level in the ores is stable within a certain range and energy supply for sinter machine pallet cars is Steady will be beneficial for the whole sintering process.In this paper, based on the analysis of the characteristics of sintering process, the structure of material balance control system and the control strategy are proposed.according to the difficult points. Different ores and process equipments need different control strategy in the sintering process. The grate layer material ore and grate cooler discharged ore adopt Feedback-Plus-Feedforward method whose feedback is modified by PI algorithm. The ingredient ore's detection, matrixing and management must have different handling modes according to different detection manners and alarm grade. The return sinter ore balance control realized through Proportioning Ratio's dynamic amendment. The control of sinter mixture ore adopts mobile data and track data technology which used to track Raw materials transportation system. The into ore material weight Win and emission ore material weight Wout are calculated. Weight into and emission are caluclated according to Win, Wout and level deviation, then, control of sinter mixture ore's level is executed through the changement of synthesize delivery weight.The material balance control is one link of the whole of the sintering process control. In this paper, the architecture which combine the basic automation level (L1) and optimization control level (L2) is proposed in order to realize the material balance control. The Hardware Architecture, software architecture and data flow structure are designed.Through the application of the material balance control system in the iron-ore sintering process, the sintering process achieves the whole process material balance and the steady capability of sintering are realized. The results of actual runs show that the system is effective.
