Based on the analyses the extensive use of nonferrous sheet metals in modern industry and the current research situation of the aligning technology, this paper extends the problem lying on aligning the sheet metal of nonferrous metals. At present, domestic to the aligning technology of the armor plate, not only the theory, but also the equipment, has already reached a relatively riper stage. But for aligning the nonferrous metals, especially sheet metal, has not formed the intact theoretical system yet. Therefore, it is necessary to carry on research into the aligning theory of the sheet metal of nonferrous metals, used for guiding and designing the relevant aligning equipment.The paper, at the foundation of the mechanic of materials and the mechanic of plasticity, has carried on simple analysis about crooked theory and aligning theory of the sheet metal of nonferrous metals. It also designs relatively rational aligning scheme of 21 rollers of straightening machines.In addition, the paper based on the theory analysis of finite element, has constructed the theory model, boundary conditions and the friction type of the align course. And uses ANSYS/LS-DYNA software to imitate the aligning of the copper sheet metal, thus received the emulation result which under the different craft parameters, and found the rational aligning parameter finally.The research approach used in this paper and the conclusion drawn from it can play a positive role in guiding and designing the aligning equipment for the sheet metal of nonferrous metals.
