Roughing rolling process of 5-stand aluminum strip hot rolling line is rolling of medium plate,and the application of plate shape instrument is restricted.Wedge of plate after roughing rolling is one important factor leading to steering in the latter tandem rolling process.To reduce the loss caused by steering,this paper made the roughing rolling as the object of study,and one model of detecting wedge of plate during roughing process was proposed,and one 3D GM-AGC was built for reducing the wedge of plate during roughing rolling.The major work is as follows:(1) one model of detecting wedge of plate during roughing process was proposedThe eigenvalue of wedge—hsub was defined at first;The function of key parameterΔb1 was built based on simplified model;Presuming the roll as rigid body,character of wedge during 9 rolling stations was analysised,and the eigenvalue of wedge for detecting during rolling—δb was defined;One model of detecting wedge of plate during roughing process was proposed.The FE model of strip rolling was built by use of MSC.Marc,and the model of detecting wedge of plate was analysed based on the FE model.The results showed that:the model of detecting wedge of plate during roughing rolling was feasible in conditions considering the deformation of rolls.The experiment was did on the experimental mill.The rolling forces on the two sides of mill were detected during rolling with the same plate and with different gauges.The thickness along the plate in width direction were measured by use of micrometer caliper.The experiment showed that:the model of detecting wedge of plate during roughing rolling was correct and feasible.(2) One arithmatic of 3D GM-AGC was builtInspired by the arithmatic of ACC built by the medium plate factory in Japan,based on the GM-AGC and model of detecting wedge of plate during roughing rolling,one arithmatic of 3D GM-AGC was built for reducing the wedge of plate during roughing rolling.
