Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang Treatment Of Patients With Lung Cancer Chemotherapy Drugs Caused Stomach Weakness Nausea And Vomiting Clinical Studies

Objective: To observe the effect of Banxia Xiexin Decoction on preventing the nausea and vomiting of spleen-stomach weakness induced by chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer.Method:80 lung cancer patients who in need of chemotherapy were randomized into two groups. The control group(40 cases) were treated by 5-HT Blockers(granisetron) on preventing the nausea and vomiting duced . And the treatment group (40 cases) in were treated by 5-HT Blockers(granisetron) and Banxia Xiexin Decoction(oral,150ml each time,twice a day) on preventing the nausea and vomiting. The effect were observed and compared between the two groups.Result: 40 cases in treatment group:13 cases under control, 15 cases had marked effect,9 cases were effective,3 cases had no effect,the total effective rate was 92.5%;40 cases in control group: 6 cases under control,16 cases had marked effect,12 cases were effective,6 cases had no effect,the total effective rate was 85.00%. The difference in total effective rate between the two groups was significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference of serum 5-HT between the two groups before chemotherapy, but the significant difference appears after chemotherapy, the treatment group was lower.Conclusion:1. 5-HT Blockers(granisetron) with Banxia Xiexin Decoction was better than 5-HT Blockers(granisetron) on preventing the nausea and vomiting.2. It was a safe and effective drug on preventing the nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy.
