Production of single stand reversible cold rolling mill has occuped an important position in the field of cold rolling production because of its convenience.In recent years, with the development of technology and automation, the mill’s automatic control system has been gradually replacing the traditional manual control, which implements high-speed production process and improves production quality and productivity. Based on exploitation on process control system of six high UCM reversible cole rolling mills of zhongyue in zhongshan, complete the main works are shown as follows:(1) Control models of the system such as deformation resistance model and rolling force model were developed, Netwton-Raphson method was developed to solve nonlinear equations achieving the load distribution process which also offered engineers a variety of distribution methods (absolute reduction rate allocation method, rolling force method, power method, etc.), the model was consistent with on-site production rules by adjusting the system parameters.(2) According to the actual situation, reasonable values of tension and rolling speed were set to ensure product quality while allowing for maximum effect mill to improve the efficiency of production. To ensure the quality of strip shape, using the influence function method to determine the roll bending force and shift of intermediate roll shift model.(3) According to the actual production data, the rolling force model, the roll gap model and bending force model was further adapted. Established layer tables for all models. With certain sampling method, self-study system is developed, which further improve the accuracy of models. (4) The system is coded by VB SDK, established interactive interface for engineers and operators; FTP protocol was established to control system and HMI communication, which achieved technological self-learning and online order configuration control functions. The corresponding database software development system, instead of operator manual record was developed.
