In recent years,the coal mine accidents occur frequently in China, especially bigaccident, that causing heavy casualties and huge economic losses. In these accidents, the vastmajority are gas explosion. It is important and significant to build a monitoring system for thecoal mine production with real-time accretion and well-functioning. However, the existingcoal mine gas monitoring system using the cable transmission mode has many defects, Suchas wiring difficulties, small monitoring scope, inflexible transmission distance,"longdistance" sensor with large wiring resistance, poor anti-jamming capability and so on.Aimed at the shortcomings of the traditional coal mine gas monitoring system, on thebasis of information search and investigation of current development for the background ofthe coal mine gas safety monitoring system at home and abroad, this paper proposed ameasure of ZigBee wireless sensor network (WSN) combined with virtual instrumenttechnology. It constructed the wireless sensor network by ZigBee wireless communicationtechnology, designed the PC monitoring system software by LabVIEW2009softwaredevelopment environment, and finally proposed a overall design scheme based on ZigBeewireless transmission network and the LabVIEW gas monitoring system. This paper describedthe hardware design in detail, including the core CC2530MCU, the antenna interface, thecrystal oscillator, the I/O extension interface and the power circuit, LED circuit, UART circuit,sensor module heating driver circuit and signal collection circuit in the floor. As for thesoftware design, this paper describes The design of the coordinator, the terminal node, theconstruction of Zigbee network, the process of terminal node accessing the network and uppermonitoring software.In the end, the system was tested, it shows that this system is of data real-time display,Transfinite alarm, Generate daily/monthly report, timing storage of gas concentration,Statistical information storage, History curve, Statistical information query, Daily/monthly report query function. And has strong flexibility, maintainability and expansibility, goodstability, low power consumption, easy maintenance, etc. It can realize real-time monitoringof coal mine gas concentration information. This paper is of important significance inimproving coal mine safety monitoring theory, enhancing the level of coal mine safetymonitoring and management.
