As a special type of aggression, more and more researches were focused on the problemof peer bullying. As the reseach moves on, it has indicated that bullying is not only related tochildren’s psychological characteristics, but also influenced by the surrounding environment.Combination of internal and external factors is considered better to be able to explain bullying.Therefore, this study integrated on the basis of previous studies, tried to examine therelationship of family functioning, self-concept and bullying, providing further understandand to prevent and control child bullying.This study selected layered randomly four middle schools from Huludao and Weihai,656.We embed the bullying and victimization two topics in the Family Adaptability and CohesionScale and Piers-Harris Children’s Self Concept Scale.This study makes the following main conclusions:1. Universal bullying in elementary school campus, boys bully significant than girlsbully, but bullies are more girls than boys, but not significant sex; bully and being bullied bythe number of people with grade high rise, and a significant difference exists between thegrades.2. The pupils of the status quo of the family functions show that pupils family typebalanced main exhibit more intimate-flexible types and freedom of-regular type. Familycohesion, the presence of high and low grade significant differences in family cohesion of thelow-grade pupils scored significantly higher than the high-grade, low-grade primary schoolstudents and family members emotional connection is stronger than the high-grade primaryschool students, family adaptability there is no significant grade differences.3. The status of pupils’ self-concept contemporary primary school students have a higherlevel of self-concept; overall, the girl’s self-concept is generally higher than boys; With thegrowth of the year, the pupils self-concept development shows the inverted U-shaped trend.4. Family cohesion and adaptability and pupils’ self-concept total score and factor wassignificantly positively related to family cohesion can predict each factor and the total scoreof the self-concept, family adaptability only be able to predict the intelligence and school,body appearance with attributes, happiness and satisfaction factors, family functioning factorsaffecting students’ self-concept; incidence of bullying and their family cohesion andadaptability significant negative correlation, balanced family types, less involved in bullying,intermediate subjects show more bullying, family cohesion predict the probability ofoccurrence of being bullied, family cohesion and family adaptability predict the probability of occurrence of bully, involved in bullying and extreme family type,family cohesion andadaptability no significant difference; pupils’ self-concept and bullying there is a significantnegative correlation between the incidence of bullying, and some degree of predictability.5. Self-concept plays an intermediary role between the level of family cohesion andbullying; self-concept from the part of the intermediary role between family cohesion, and theincidence of bullying, fully mediated between family adaptability and the incidence ofbullying.
