Winch, as the most widely used pulling equipment in coal track transportation system,is a key part in the security of the mine auxiliary transportation. However, transport winch and dispatching winch are normally driven by motor and the mechanical differential mechanism is set to control the speed of winch. Found in the long-term application, this transmission and speed control model has many defects,such as bad performance of speed regulation, security fault, difficult operation mode and quickly wearing of brake shin. according to the shortcomings above,in this paper,a new variable speed winch based on remote operation was designed to substitute for the transport winch and dispatching winch in the mine auxiliary transportation system.Firstly, according to domestic and overseas research status and coal mine requirement, coupled with the analysis on the structure and shortcomings of common winch, a new winch design plan is presented, which adopts the motor-drive mode and a fluid-mechanical differential mode to control the speed of winch. Then,a series of branch design plans were designed in detail, mainly including the driving mode,the speed governing method and the braking system.Then, a set of mathematical models of the overall mechanical structure and the working conditions of the novel winch, a detailed analysis and design on the machine construction of the winch.And the selection on the key components of the winch was developed.A series of theoretical designing calculations of the transmission system were carried out, the static Analysis for key parts was In ANSYS software, the stiffness and intensity check were performed.Thirdly, a mathematical model of hydraulic torque converter wasestablished to study matching characteristic of motor and hydraulic torque converter. The Mathematical model control system of transmission was established to study reversal performance of the winch. The simulation mode of winch transmission system was designed in the AMESim software to study performance of speed regulation, the characteristic of speed-torque and braking.At last,for the further analysis on the novel transmission model,namely the motor-hydraulic torque converter transmission, a characteristics and matching optimization analysis was carried out in MATLAB software.Through the comparison and research on the characteristic curves, the better matching characteristics was verified.In the final, a prototype of the winch was produced and a series trial and tests were performed to confirm all the designed functions and verify the detailed design parameters. By theatrical analysis and field trial, the winch meets the design requirements and can substitute for existing winches. So the winch has very strong practicability in coal mine transportation.
