This study is discussing the characteristics of Left-behind children’s loneliness and the intervening Effect of Group Counseling on Left-behind children’s loneliness. The main objectives are: to assess the the loneliness level of the left-behind children; to discover the effect of group counseling on Left-behind children’s loneliness.In this study, we used The Child Loneliness Scale to measuring the loneliness of the fifth and sixth grade students of Shenbei Affiliated School in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. Then, analyze the loneliness level of the left-behind children and children not left behind. And base on the scale score,15 loneliness left-behind children were selected to have group counseling, once a week, for eight weeks.The conclusions of this study are: Left-behind children’s loneliness scores are higher than the non-left-behind children; After group counseling, the loneliness scores of experimental group are lower than the pre-counseling; After group counseling, the loneliness scores of experimental group are lower than the control group; Two months later, testing the experimental group.The results show that the loneliness scores on experimental group have no significant differences.
