Teaching Design Of Peking Opera (Facial Makeup) Culture In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

As the quintessence of Chinese culture, Beijing Opera has experienced ups and downs in the course of its development and has attracted increasing attention nowadays. The present situation provides an external communication for Beijing Opera. Therefore, an excellent teaching design about Beijing Opera and facial makeup would have a great effect on arousing the enthusiasm of Chinese language learners.The cultural courses regarding Beijing Opera and facial makeup involve some professional terms during teaching process, therefore certain Chinese language level of learners is required. That's why I choose senior Chinese learners as the object of teaching after analyzing Chinese culture teaching theories at home and abroad and present situation, present situation of international Chinese culture teaching design, and research status of Beijing Opera and facial makeup. Based on the methods of research literature,comparative analysis, teaching practice and observation method, the teaching design for the courses of Beijing Opera and facial makeup are studied. During the study, Firstly, I summarize the courses of Beijing Opera and facial makeup, including course introduction, the basic theories of design, analysis of curriculum resources, teaching principles, innovation and characteristics of the courses. Secondly, I do some culture teaching design, mainly launches from two aspects: the lesson plan design and the classroom design, and apply the teaching design to the practical teaching. Then I do teaching evaluation according to the teaching practice in Thailand Aksorn Thepprasit School and the evaluation of teaching quality given by students, Finally I analyze the deficiency of this curriculum in order to improve it by figuring out the most effective teaching methods in the spread of Chinese culture.Culture teaching is a very important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, It not only makes the students understand the Chinese culture, but also arouse the enthusiasm of learning Chinese. Excellent teaching design can make the activity of teaching get twice the result with half the effort.Therefore we should combine activity with culture teaching in teaching design, curriculum and teacher's culture background, In this way, students can learn Chinese in a relaxing and happy atmosphere where they may feel China by themselves.
