Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Senile H-type Hypertension With Phlegm And Blood Stasis Syndrome By Modified Wen Dan Decoction

Objective:To find out the clinical effect of the traditional chinese medicine which called JiaWei WenDan Decoction combining with Western medicine,using this method of treatment to treat the senile H-type hypertension patients with phlegm and blood stasis syndrome,and to explore the mechanism of lowering blood pressure.Method:The objects included in this clinical observation are the 64 patients who met the admission criteria,they come from the outpatient and inpatient department of the geriatrics department of Chinese medicine hospital who Visited the hospital between December 2018 and December 2019.Dividing 64 patients into treatment group and control group randomly by using random number table classification,there are 32 patients in each group.On the one hand,both groups were treated with basic Western medicine which is irbesartan hydrochlorothiazide tablets 150 / 12.5mg po qd and folic acid tablets 5mg po qd.On the other hand,the treatment group was treated with modified Wendan Decoction on the basis of the control group.Observing the change of blood pressure?Hcy concentration and TCM syndrome score when the treatment is over.Results:1.The result of observing and comparing blood pressure: The treatment group has a much better efficacy than the control group(P < 0.01).2.Comparing the total effect in lowering blood pressure: The treatment group hasa better total efficacy(93.33%)than the control group(90.00%)in lowering blood pressure.(P < 0.05).3.Comparing the serum homocysteine: the contents of serum homocysteine is lower than before in both groups,but the treatment group has a better efficacy than the control group.(P < 0.05).4.Comparing the total effect in TCM syndromes:In relieving TCM syndromes,the treatment group has a better total efficacy(90.00%)than the control group(66.66%)in relieving TCM syndromes.(P < 0.05).5.There were no adverse reactions in both groups during the treatment,and there was no significant difference in the safety observation indicators.Conclusion:Comparing with using Western medicine for the treatment of senile H-type hypertension only,the method of taking both JiaWei WenDan Decoction and western medicine is more effective in lowering blood pressure and lowering serum homocysteine contents and relieving TCM syndromes.This method is worth studying.
