The Phonetic Study Of Hepo Banshan Hakka Dialect

Hepo is located at the boundary of ethnic life of Hakka and Min.Its dialect is a special kind of Hakka dialect that contacts with Hakka dialect and Chaoshan dialect,called Banshan Hakka dialect.According to the field investigation,in this paper,it describes the phonetic fact of Hepo dialect,discusses respectively the tone system and the phonetic characteristics of vocabulary in Hepo dialect,analysis its pronuncia-tion level,summarizes the phonetic characteristics of Banshan Hakka dialect,tries to explore language evolution law of Banshan Hakka dialect through the comparison,in order to provide important reference for the division of hakka dialect of Chaoshan area in South Guangdong and provide effective materials for the research of dialect contact back.This paper summed up the further research aspects of Hepo dialect through the current research results,describes the phonetic fact of Hepo dialect in detail,points out the deficiency of existing report and lists its relationship of consonants,vowels and tones.It also discusses on literary and colloquial readings of Hepo dialect,which finds that it has style difference,alternation of phonemes and superiposition in characteristics of ancient and modern sound system.Furthermore,according to middle Chinese,it analysis the phonetic system of Hepo dialect with the surrounding dialect through diachronic comparison and synchronic comparison in this paper for the purpose of finding out its difference from typical hakka dialec(Mei country)and Banshan Hakka dialect(Fengshun,Puning and Huizhai).Combining with the existing research results,it also analysis the individual phonetic characteristic of Hepo dialect and sums up the important evolvement rules of the vowels,finals and tones in the Banshan hakka dialect,as well as the unique characteristics of the vowels and finals in Hepo dialect.Then it contrasts the common vocaburary of Hepo dialect with Mei hakka dialect and Chaozhou min dialect,which found that the loanwords of Hepo dialect can be divided into two types according to the sound and form.Especially in sound,the loanwords of Hepo dialect can be divided into another three types.Finally,it is the summary of full paper.On the basis of analysis in paper,we found that Hepo dialect maintains its own uniqueness on individual evolution,although it keeps touch with typical hakka dialect in general trend of phonetic evolution.In addition,it embodies the interactivity of Min dialect and Hakka dialect in the boundary,and it also shows that the influence of Min dialect in Hepo dialect is slightly lower than Puning and Fengshun.
