The new standard of English curriculum proposes to cultivate students' comprehensive language using ability,not just language output.Psychological experts believe that students' motivation to gain knowledge,their desire for knowledge and their motivation to learn are not innate,but are motivated by the scenes created by teachers.Most students in China lack the language environment in which English is applied,and teachers need to provide students with the ability to use language communication in the real context through the creation of language learning scenes.In fact,most primary school English teaching in China still uses traditional listening,speaking,reading and writing indoctrination teaching methods to teach English.In the absence of context teachers teach words and sentence patterns in isolation,ignoring students as the main body of teaching and ignoring their learning interests of the cultivation and practical ability.Based on the theory of constructivist learning and the related theories of English teaching in primary schools,this study uses case study method,with the help of classroom observation,video recording,questionnaire survey and teaching experiment,to study and discuss the main problems existing in the application of situational teaching method in primary school English teaching and the use of situational education method in primary school classroom.Study in grade three to six on textbook Zhuzhou county.The students of class 213,215 were taken as the research object,from February 2018-June 2018 to teach two classes a semester of the experiments.Through a semester of study,experimental class students academic performance under the scene teachin g time,language using ability,through the questionnaire and individual interview several aspects before and after the experiment data analysis.At the same time,this study also puts forward some principles to create an effective situation: paying attention to students ' original knowledge experience,contact the reality of life,creating interactive teaching situation,enriching the way of situation creation.In addition,this study also gives primary school English teachers some suggestions on the creation of effective situations.This study is helpful to the further study of situational teaching method,and can promote the effective application of situational teaching method in primary school English classroom teaching.
