Thomas Sammual Kuhn(1922-1996)is a famous contemporary American scientific philosopher and historian of science, and an important representative of the transformation of philosophy of science to historicism.Based on an in-depth investigation and study of the history of science,Kuhn explained the dynamic model of scientific development.According to Kuhn's analysis, the development process of science is not a simple theoretical update process, but a transformation process of the scientific community through the development of conventional science and gradually converted into a scientific revolution.the process of.At the same time,Kuhn believes that there is irreplaceability between different research paradigms that cannot be replaced and understood. Therefore,Kuhn refuted the theoretical view that scientific knowledge is the result of the accumulation of generations. In addition, according to Kuhn's explanation, science has accumulated neither empirical facts nor theory in the long process of marching towards truth.Because the revolution will destroy a large number of facts,it will destroy the observation vocabulary and existing theories and research related to those facts, and the scientific revolution will successfully push science in different directions. At the end of "Structure of Scientific Revolution",Kuhn likens this process to the biological species formation process.Just like biological evolution,it is meaningless to say that the general process of science has a predetermined development goal, although we can still trace the historical relationship of scientific development and observe the significant changes in scientific development in history, such as the growing specialization The later science is more accurate than the previous. So Kuhn tried to blend these two important metaphors:science is both evolutionary and revolutionary. It should be said that Kuhn's dynamic understanding of scientific development is innovative and inspiring, not only generating a huge response in the scientific philosophy itself, but also resonating with researchers in other disciplines. So much so that there is still intense discussion and in-depth research in the current era. This article mainly analyzes Kuhn's philosophy of science from three aspects:In the first part of the thesis,we mainly analyze the relevant factors that affect the final formation of Kuhn's philosophy of science and philosophy, combining the temporal and spatial background of Kuhn's growth. It focuses on the background of Kuhn's era and the theoretical influences he accepted. The former mainly involves the rapid development of science and the rise of philosophy of science. The latter mainly includes the theoretical origin of the two aspects of the history of science and philosophy of science, mainly involving the thoughts of the history of science of Conan and Collie,as well as the philosophical thoughts of science of Whirlpool,Meyersen and Lovejoel. In the second part of the paper,we analyzed and summarized the core essence of Kuhn's philosophy of science. One is Kuhn's definition and analysis of the concept of "paradigm";the second is Kuhn's theory of dynamic development of scientific revolution;the third is Kuhn's concept of incommensurability. In the third part of the thesis,we mainly analyze Kuhn's philosophy of science, not only analyze the positive theoretical effects of his thoughts, but also explain the limitations in his thoughts. The positive theoretical effect mainly analyzes the ideological reference provided by Kuhn's philosophy of science to the formation of Feyerabend,Laudan and Lakatos;the limitations of Kuhn's philosophy of science can be summarized Kuhn's scientific view has excessive relativity and irrational tendency.
