With the rapid growth of social economy,increasing energy consumption and increasing environmental pressure,it poses a great threat to human survival and social and economic development.How to effectively reduce carbon emission and improve carbon emission efficiency is one of the important issues to alleviate environmental pressure at present.Shanxi Province,as an economic province with high carbon emission,has a difficult task to reduce pollution and carbon emission,which requires multiple efforts to reduce energy carbon emission.Faced with unprecedented pressure of carbon emission reduction and economic transformation,it is very important to study how to promote industrial carbon emission reduction and improve energy carbon emission efficiency,and explore a carbon reduction and efficiency strategy suitable for low-carbon development of Shanxi Province.In this paper,six industries including agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,industry,construction industry,transportation,storage,postal industry,wholesale and retail,accommodation and catering industry,and other industries in Shanxi Province are selected as the research objects.Based on the calculation results of energy carbon emissions of these industries during 2010-2021,the energy carbon emission efficiency of each industry in Shanxi Province is calculated and analyzed from the perspective of single factor and full factor respectively.Finally,from the aspects of industry development degree,population size,level of opening to the outside world,energy structure and so on,the main influencing factors of energy carbon emission efficiency in Shanxi Province were studied,and countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to help industries reduce carbon emission and improve energy carbon emission efficiency.The results are as follows:(1)The carbon emission coefficient method was used to calculate the energy carbon emissions of different industries in Shanxi Province,and the characteristics of energy carbon emissions of various industries in Shanxi Province were compared with the average energy carbon emissions of the whole country.Shanxi Province’s industrial energy carbon emissions are the highest,accounting for more than 90% of the total energy carbon emissions.This was followed by transportation,warehousing and postal services,which showed an overall increase in energy carbon emissions.The energy carbon emissions of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,wholesale and retail,accommodation and catering industries,and other industries belong to the industries with low carbon emissions.The construction industry is the industry with the lowest energy carbon emissions among the six industries,and the change is relatively stable.Compared with the national average carbon emission level,the energy carbon emission level of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,industry,construction,wholesale and retail,accommodation and catering industry in Shanxi Province is higher than the national average,and the energy carbon emission level of transportation,warehousing,postal industry and other industries is lower than the national average.(2)The ratio method and the improved DEA model were used to calculate the energy carbon emission efficiency of different industries in Shanxi Province from the perspective of single factor and total factor.From the perspective of single factor,the energy carbon emission efficiency of different industries in Shanxi Province is significantly different.The energy carbon emission efficiency of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,wholesale and retail,accommodation and catering industry and other industries gradually increased in capital input,energy input and economic output,while the carbon emission efficiency of labor input showed a downward trend.The carbon emission efficiency of industrial capital input,labor input and economic output increases,while the carbon emission efficiency of energy input decreases.The carbon emission efficiency of the economic output of transportation,warehousing,postal service and construction industry is on the rise,while the carbon emission efficiency of the input factors is on the decline.From the perspective of total factors,the static efficiency of energy carbon emission of different industries in Shanxi Province was calculated by super efficiency SBM.From small to large,the static efficiency of energy carbon emission of different industries were construction,other industries,agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,wholesale and retail,accommodation and catering industry,transportation and storage,postal service and industry.At the same time,the Malmquist model was used to calculate the dynamic energy carbon emission efficiency of different industries in Shanxi Province.The average MI index of all industries was greater than 1,indicating that the energy carbon emission efficiency of six industries in Shanxi Province showed an increasing trend during 2010-2021.(3)The grey correlation model was used to analyze the influencing factors of energy carbon emission efficiency of six industries in Shanxi Province.Among them,agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry,fishery and other industries in Shanxi Province have the largest correlation with population size and energy structure.The decrease of coal consumption ratio is conducive to the increase of energy carbon emission efficiency of industries.Industrial energy carbon emission efficiency is highly correlated with population size,energy structure and industrial development level,all of which are above 0.850.The energy carbon emission efficiency of construction industry is greatly affected by population size,industry development degree and energy structure,and the correlation coefficients are all greater than 0.90.The energy carbon emission efficiency of wholesale and retail,accommodation and catering industry,transportation and storage and postal industry has the highest correlation with industry development level,and the improvement of industry development level promotes the improvement of industry energy carbon emission efficiency.(4)Proposed adaptive strategies for carbon reduction and efficiency improvement in six industries in Shanxi Province.Carbon emission reduction strategies for various industries are proposed mainly from four aspects: developing low-carbon economy,optimizing energy structure,increasing opening-up and strengthening government guidance,so as to further promote the improvement of energy carbon emission efficiency in Shanxi Province.
