Retrospective Analysis Of Guichen Xuanhua Decoction In Treatment Of Wind-phlegm-stasis Syndrome In Acute Stage Of Ischemic Stroke

Objective:The clinical data of hospitalized patients with ischemic stroke(IS)were retrospectively analyzed to summarize the clinical efficacy of Guichen Xuanhua Decoction in the treatment of acute phase of ischemic stroke(syndrome of wind-phlegm-stasis),providing data and basis for TCM treatment of ischemic stroke.Methods:A retrospective study was conducted to collect and collate the medical records of inpatients in the first Area of Encephalopathy,Dongge Hospital,The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 1,2018 to March 31,2021.According to the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of this study,83 cases were selected,including 42 in the treatment group and 41 in the control group.The control group was given orally Aspirin Enteric-coated Tablet 100 mg or Clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate 75 mg once a day,Atorvastatin Calcium Tablet 20 mg orally before bedtime,and at the same time was given symptomatic treatment to improve circulation,nourish the neurologic,appropriately reduce blood pressure,hypoglycemia,etc.On this basis,the treatment group was also given Guichen Xuanhua Decoction(200ml),which was taken warm in the morning and evening after meals.General information of patients(name,age,gender,combined with underlying diseases),TCM syndrome score,NIHSS score,ADL score,and blood index levels(TC,TG,FIB)of patient before and after treatment were recorded in Excel.SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis to compare the changes of the two groups of patients before and after treatment,and relevant conclusions were drawn.Results:(1)TCM syndrome score and efficacy: After treatment,the TCM syndrome score of the two groups decreased in different degrees compared with before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease degree of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).In terms of TCM syndrome efficacy,the total effective rate was 95.22% in the treatment group and 78.04% in the control group.The total effective rate of TCM syndrome efficacy in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.(2)NIHSS score: After treatment,NIHSS score in both groups decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease degree in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(3)ADL score: After treatment,the ADL score of the two groups was improved compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement degree of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(4)Blood indexes: After treatment,TC,TG and FIB in 2 groups were decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease degree in treatment group was significantly better than that in control group(P<0.05).(5)Clinical efficacy: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.23%,and that of the control group was 82.92%.The total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion: Guichen Xuanhua Decoction has obvious clinical efficacy in the treatment of patients with wind-phlegm-stasis syndrome in the acute stage of ischemic stroke.Compared with simple western medicine treatment,Guichen Xuanhua Decoction has better effects in improving nerve function,improving the ability of daily living activities,alleviating TCM symptoms,reducing total cholesterol,triglyceride and fibrinogen.
